Hi!

So I'm debating how many boxes of Small But Mighty Mystery Set to get. The set is 16 pins so I want to complete one set for our family and did really good with that last year.
Currently I have 7 boxes and my husband has 5. So that is 24 pins to get a set of 16. I'm thinking of cutting back to a total of 10 sets so 20 pins so we can trade to help others finish sets at the event as well.

Thoughts? I only trade at the event, and have never done a non-face-to-face trade. Honestly I am into pins for the fun not for the value. :wavey:

Thanks!

I agree with keeping what you have and TRADE at the event. I had very good experiences last year looking for the shard and Chasers pins and fellow Traders were wonderful!!

Oh, I would keep every single box you get and trade them at the event, but as was suggested, pin for pin and chaser for chaser. I got 7 of these boxes (apparently the maximum per person); I wish I could have gotten more and that's just to try to get the one pin I know for sure fits in my collections and any chasers that also might.

This set looks really nice! I hope you are able to complete it!

I'm not usually interested in Mystery Sets, but this one has a very nice appeal to it.

keep what you have and trade at the event to complete other sets

I agree, keep what you have and trade at the event... Maybe wear your extras on a lanyard so people can see them? :)

that is a good idea as well but only trade pin for pin, chaser for chaser because after the event they don't trade well

If you are there onThursday that is the best day to trade for the set that is what we do

Thanks everyone for your advice. Last year Thursday was a bit intense for me so I think we are going to stay with just trading in lines at the event. I will be doing pin for pin and chaser for chaser and I will have them on a lanyard.

Thank you! We will also be a group of 4, two people with last years event under our belt and two brand new newbies! I will look for you!

My current plan is to wear Disney Tie-dye shirts for the weekend and my trusty bright orange, lime green or bright blue crocs.

So much for getting this awesome set, they just sent out an email saying this :(

Agreed.. I'm indecisive on keeping or returning it.. If I knew they'd have a trading night soon afterwards I'd keep them but really don't want to trade online due to the costs...

This also happened at the Star Wars "Rebel Rendezvous" Event with a set of pins!! First they pulled the "For Every Laugh There Is A Tear" set and now the Mystery Sets are delayed. They, the Mystery Sets, are a big part of the Trading FUN that occurs at the Event. Terrible news overall!!

I decided against keeping them, though I wish they had allowed us to choose how many we could keep. If they had done that, I would have kept a box or two. All the fun for me is in trading at the event. I don't like trading online as I have been burned too many times and the shipping cost can get a bit much. Really disappointed. :(

You should call or email Event Services. Since you can return the boxes, they will probably let you just return some and keep the 1 or 2 you wanted to. They'd rather sell you some than none at all. TTFN, Sue
