Reason DPF down for days?

I do not have permission to post on "Announcements or Front Desk" so I'm posting/asking here. Why has there been NO thread (that I can find) as to why I COULDN'T access this forum for DAYS? Someone in the know, pls elaborate. Thank you.

I'm hoping the new server handles the large traffic load better. I am not sure about anyone else, but this site has always been sluggish for me. Not bad enough to complain about before, but while we are on the subject of moving, heh...

Site was slow as well. So far the new location doesnt seem to be much better.

Hey, at least DPF is back up again, right? I don't how the forums look for everyone else, but to me, it looks like the move hasn't been 100% completed yet. I'm guessing that any delays could be because the move still might be in process? Cicada might have just brought the site up a little early because we were down so long, he didn't want to delay any longer, figuring he could complete the move while it was being used?

I'm just speculating here, I don't know any more than anyone else does.

Yup, I am glad the site is back up, but there is a bunch of stuff that still needs to be brought back. I am getting tons of missing picture icons all over the site.

According to the DPF Facebook page they brought it up prior to the transfer to the new server. Presumably to let us use it while they iron out the details

well was hoping that I would be able to use chat but that is not to be Java won't allow it and yes tried all the stuff I do not use Chrome but think if I did it might work but glad it is back

As am I. This is one of the things to which I was referring. I would presume that all of this will be sorted out once the move is complete. For now, I'm just glad that we're back up and running again.

These forums seem to have quite a bit of server trouble in general, this isn't the first time its been down for a while.
