2014 Designer Dolls - Fairytale Collection Part II
lol Polaris this is a good response I get sooooo tired when I see people, just not limited to this forum but all, ask the same darn questions that have been asked and answered previously! At this point, if one does not know the release date of the dolls, then they don't really want them......

Thanks, you do not know how many times I have had to repeat myself on the forum due to a person just being too lazy to look it up themselves. I also agree and I didn't bring it up myself because I thought it harsh but if a person doesn't know the release details this late in the game or if they cannot even bother to look it up themselves then clearly they are not that interested in the line...

This.
It happens with every new doll release unfortunately. I remember feeling like pulling out my hair back when the Anna and Elsa dolls were to be released in Europe. The date had been official for Europe since January, but for months people kept asking. When I told them to look it up at google before asking the same question over and over again (since that question was asked around 4 times a day), they complained at said they had tried searching and that it took too long. It took me around 11.7 seconds to find the date on google (that included typing in the search term)...

On FB it's just annoying - especially since the FB group's main picture in the moment is the picture of the fairytale collection dolls from the disneystore site, where all dates are written on it, but still everyday people ask "when's the dolls released"… jesus…
"Do your own research" must be an extinct term for a lot of people nowadays. XD

It's always the same. I answered that exact question a few pages back. Even I, who didn't and won't (at least while I'm still studying) purchase any of these dolls, know, where to find the information. I don't understand, do they want the dolls or don't?

Wow...what a snarky bunch of people here in the doll collecting side of things. Yall should lighten up or you are just going to let lazy dumb idiots like me keep ruining your days on forums and social media.

It wouldn't be that hard to research and find out yourself. When I first got into it, I didn't know anything and I spent a lot of time researching everything and anything I could about these beautiful dolls. But to be fair, you were just asking a simple question and their responses were somewhat rude. This is a Disney forum, shouldn't everyone be kind and helpful instead of patronizing others?

I remember first joining the forum and being surprised at the number of unhelpful or snarky comments from some older members toward new collectors. I know being asked the same questions can get tiring, but that is no excuse to respond that way. Would Mickey himself answer like that? No! lol

To answer your question:

Tiana & Prince Naveen- September 23rd (Store Release Date) and September 24th (Online Release Date)

Pocahontas & John Smith- September 30th (Store Release Date) and October 1st (Online Release Date)

Cinderella & Prince Charming- October 7th (Store Release Date) and October 8th (Online Release Date)

Mulan & Li Shang- October 14th (Store Release Date) and October 15th (Online Release Date)

Briar Rose & Prince Phillip- October 21st (Store Release Date) and October 22nd (Online Release Date)

Thanks...I had googled it right after I asked anyway and found it. I am not a doll collector and don't plan on becoming one, I just love aurora and Phillip. The pin side of the forum everyone is usually really nice and helpful, I thought that's what the forum was for. May the Disney spirit be with you ;) :p

Hey guys I have a question for
International buyers.

So I finally decided to stop paying for these and actually ask my sisters and friend to pay if they want them.
All of them are not in the US and their credit cards are not from US banks.
I've tried ordering something off of DisneyStore and the card got declined, even though the address was right.

Any tips?

Also, I'm starting to get worried on the whole one per guest thing. How does that work?
I'm getting two of each doll. Can I ship them to the same address but different recipients and payment info?

Sorry, but I don't see asking people to do a little research of their own and being snarky as the same thing. I think collectors enjoy helping out others, but there's just a limit to how many times we feel like answering the same question, which has been asked over and over again - especially since the answer is very easy to find.

We use Japanese cards all the time and never had any issues. So it's strange that you experience issues if the billing address match the card.
Do we know if the couples are limited to one per. Guest? I know the set was, but I thought it was because the set was very limited. If the couples are limited to one per guest, you will need seperate adresses and probably also different accounts on the disney site (since it's one per guest and your account count as a guest). Pretty much everything has to be different unfortunately. Since I saw a couple who ordered a set of the couple each, different accounts, different names, but the address was the same, so one got cancelled.

I don't think it was "snarkiness", or at least I was not being snarky I was just pointing out that it can be pretty rude to just come in and literally admit that you are too lazy to read or even google it yourself. I mean a lot of people here are dedicated doll collectors and you willingly admitted that you are not a doll collector and everyone here is nice and helpful but it is just like when a group of people are having a conversation and then someone just joins in and asks everyone to repeat the entire conversation. It literally is just rude and I know you probably did not mean for it to be that way but I am just saying for your sake that it does come across that way and even you would know this as a pin collector but if someone has to keep repeating themselves it can get rather frustrating and annoying especially when the information is right there for them to find it themselves.

So I am sorry that you feel that way but I guess that doll collectors are human too and it really comes down to the whole why should i spoon feed you information when you are too lazy to pick up the spoon yourself especially since a lot of us have worked very hard on our collections. I know it was not your intention but your comment really exuded an I dont care enough attitude which is why people did not care to respond properly.

Also just a bit of friendly advice written text is open to interpretation because you cannot read the emotions behind it so it is important that maybe you think about what you type before you do it. They may do things differently in the pin world because releases come and go but in the dolls world releases can take over a year of us waiting so I do hope you can understand.

Oh and here in the doll world we say "have a magical day" :)

Nobody was being snarky......especially since we were just stating how we felt. And I have been to Disneyland and Disney World PLENTY of times and many cast members aren't always providing service that the house of mouse would approve of...........furthermore, all the members of the forum that I've interacted with, are very helpful and pleasant. I know that Polaris has spent a lot of time helping other forum members out and he even created a list of all past doll releases. He has done a lot research for the doll collecting group and has posted it on here. Have a magical day;)

I personally am always happy to help someone who needs information, but seeing the dates have been told so many times already, by both members here on the forum as well as Facebook pages and even Disney themselves, its really easy to find the answers on your own. I don't think anyone was trying to be rude, but were just making a point.

On a more positive note, I'm so excited for Tiana's release. I'm not even buying her (she's grown on me but I cant afford her) and yet I'm so excited!

wowee people are getting angry.

People just don't like repeating themselves 20 times. That's all.

So Tiana and Naveen are coming out on Tuesday, how long does everyone think they're going to last online?

Careful in here. There are a bunch of bitchy doll collectors that hang out in here.

Wait don't you collect dolls too? LOL

Nothing was ever intended with malice or "bitchiness". It is just frustrating and I know you understand the feeling too just like when you post your threads about how pin collectors freak out about Frozen.

There is a difference, she asked a question and since there are so many posts that aren't directly dealing with the doll release in this thread, I think someone asking about a release date shouldn't be treated like a the headed step child.

For the record, my wife collects dolls, but you also have to notice she doesn't post in the doll forum because of how elitist most of you can be.

I agree with people here.
I work in a college computer lab and I constantly have to deal with students asking me the most ridiculous questions that they can easily find if they use google.

How do you open word?
How do you change the title?
What is a title?
What is a keyboard shortcut?
When is this assignment due?
And the occasional....
Student: they want a specific formula, how the hell am I supposed to know it?
Me: a. You learned about it last week. B. If you continue reading the next sentence we actually give you the formula.

These things are kind of frustrating. But a user not googling a simple thing such as dates is more annoying. And what's worse is them not
Even bothering to
Check just a few pages pages back. It's easy to spot a date so just go back and scroll down quickly.

And guys. Let's just leave it at that cause we don't want this thread to close too like the other one.
Let's start over. :)

Quite frankly the only elitist person I've seen in this forum is you.

Ok, so people going to the stores on Tuesday, let us know how things go!

I'll be very interested in knowing how many people will
Be at the stores. :)

And good luck to people who will be getting them online and in store!

Does anyone have experience going to the store and doing the raffle? It says the raffle is between 12 & 1 pm and then later they pick the names of the winners. Would I be able to go at 12pm, put my name in the raffle and then go to work? Because i have to be at work at 1 >.< Do you know if they'd call me to tell me I won, or would they just give the doll to someone else who's there?

Yeah good luck to everyone! I will be creeping the website to see how she does. I'm hoping someone will upload videos of them getting her in store as weird as that sounds. I just like to see people react to getting them lol.

You put your name in there around that time, but you have to be there to qualify getting the doll. If you put your name in, leave, and happen to win, then you won't get her. Try to get someone to stay for you if you can.

Thank you! But i don't think I know anyone who is available during that time since mostly everyone I know works :/ So I guess I have to try my luck online.

The raffle shouldn't take too long, usually they just draw the names out starting from 12pm (but it can vary from store to store) so really it shouldn't even take 15 minutes for them to draw the names, especially if your store only holds a few dolls on hand. Depending on how close the store is to your office you may be able to pull it off but you might have to warn your office that you may be a little late?

You could always also ask the Disney store cast members how long it'll take.
You can tell them that you have to get back to work ASAP and maybe if they're not in a bad mood will do it a couple of minutes early.

It all depends. The thing I want to tell people here is to stand up for these cast members. I know that there are people out there who will explode at a Cast member for not pulling their names. So if that happens, guys, please stand up to those bullies. Cast Members are usually the nicest people you'll meet and I can't image the pain they've been through this past year due to Frozen.
