I'll let you know how I get on . I originally booked Caribbean Beach , it was a bit cheaper , but changed as I'd heard it was pretty spread out whereas POFQ is a smaller site with the same amenities and it's closer to DTD . I figured I'd be doing enough walking at the parks without adding a long walk just to reach my room .

The Caribbean Beach has a bad reputation for being spread out, but it really isn't that bad, I stayed there twice before I had my knee surgery and it didn't bother me too much, I think it has the best dining area. All of the Disney resorts are so large that you are never close to everything. The Animal Kingdon and Polynesian Resorts can be really bad. The boat ride to DTD is a big bonus for Port Orleans.

Have a fantastic time! I can't wait until my WDW trip during the Christmas/New Year's week. We're all Disney fanatics here, but the Harry Potter and Marvel stuff, and that Mummy ride are all awesome at Universal/IoA.

You're going to have a blast! I absolutely love the Pin Trading Station in Downtown Disney. It's huge and everyone there is super friendly and eager to trade! I had good luck with great pins in Epcot, the pin station inside Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on the way to Tower of Terror. Have a blast!

Have a great time! If interested in any of the hidden mickeys I had the best luck at the Boardwalk gift shop and at Wilderness Lodge. WL has a board by the pin cart, but also one behind the desk. Guest Relations in the parks also had pretty good books!

As for disney itself, I love the World Showcase. So much to see....and eat. =)

Make sure you have the begniets, and go see YeeHaw Bob at Riverside. The boatride to DTD is a nice trip and with all the work they 're doing there it is probably the best way to get there. I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside in 2012.

There is a Pin Kiosk in DTD, one at Epcot between the globe and the fountains, the Magic Kingdom it's in frontier land, and Hollywood studios it's under the hat (which is gone now), the store at the Contemporary Resort also has a nice pin selection. I never found the good spot at the Animal Kingdom.

Make sure you see Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios, Reflections of Earth at Epcot and the Fireworks at the Magic Kingdom, and see all the parades, and visit all the resorts. The Fish and Chips stand at Epcot by the Rose and Crown is great (don't know about the authenticity), and the chicken and waffle sandwhiches at Sleepy Hollow in the Magic Kingdom are a must for me.

The pin cart at Animal Kingdom is outside Island Merchantile. At Hollywood, the new pin location is next to Sunset Ranch Market.

Also, don't forget the Character Warehouse for pins. There are two in separate outlet malls. For instance, the one nearer Downtown Disney has the mystery set boxes from Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party from last year right now.

Good luck and have fun!

I've been trying to find info on the outlet stores , do the bus services run to them from DTD ?
I'm a non driver , Universal /Seaworld & Kissimmee seem fairly easy to reach .
Cheers
