I still haven't received a Blast Off email for Wedding Cinderella (got one for Blue Cinderella last night) and my order still says active on the website, but I did just get an email from UPS that both packages have shipped (or at least labels were created). One is 4.9 lbs. and one is 7.3 lbs. and they should both arrive on Thursday.

I am SO SO SO excited to see these dolls in person! :)

I have a hard time deciding whether to debox my new Frozen dolls or not.. I have deboxed my Rapunzel and Snow Anna (and put them back in the box like they were). I do enjoy them a lot when they're deboxed but it's a hassle to put them back. Also seems like the new Anna and Elsa are secured quite tightly to the boxes this time around!
I just admired my Maleficent&checked her COA. All the pictures of her deboxed look sooo pretty I'm so tempted! hehe (^ ^)

it was horrible to put the plastic back on elsa. at one point I was like okay this will never work she is doomed haha. I Am trying to put ariel back in her box do you have any tips :) I will never ever debox a doll again because all the boxes next to each other are so pretty!
 
So I'm wayyyyy late to the party, but my Kristoff doll arrived at my work today. He's my fave of the latest Frozen batch... but Cinderella still owns my heart right now, lol.

Cardboard cover--I put a gold gem on every dot on the box (including over the I in Cinderella)


On the plastic cover, I put a white gem on each dot on the box, and a couple others that you can't really see. The backdrop is a leather sofa, so it may be hard to make out.


I didn't take any pictures of the backdrop inside the box, but I put little white, blue, and purple gems to "light up" the night sky. It's hard to capture the look in pics since gems only look nice when they're moving /
sparkling. I'll post more pics once the entire project is done.

Weirdly glad that I'm not the only one struggling with Elsa's plastic cover! I thought I had gotten a defective one but seems like that's just how they made hers.

All of three of my latest Frozen dolls' plastic covers were horrible like that. It took forever to get them back on. I opened them once to make sure the COA was there, and I am never opening them again!
 
It's probably for the best that the BATB movie is two years away. If the merchandise/doll situation was anything like it was for Cinderella, I am going to need a lot of money! I hope two years is enough to save up for it all! LOL

Next year would have been a really fast turn around for a movie of that scale since they only now just announced casting, so I guess it makes sense. It feels like a really loooooong time to wait though doesn't it? :cry:

Yes thats too long! How disappointing :( True, it will be a huge production but i was still hoping maybe a sep/oct 2016 release date. I thought they try and release a live action every year maybe its alice or jungle book instead next year?

haha thats a good point, how much of the collection did you end up getting? i remember you had the tea set, pins and Mac makeup, did you get more stuff? Lol i spent soooooo much money in the end i would actually hate to think how much!
 
I know, I was surprised when I saw the announcement. I was one of the people who thought BatB was coming out next year. I can't believe I'll have to wait 2 years to expand my new doll collection.... unless they DO release more with the video!

I'm really looking forward to this movie after falling in love with Cinderella. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. And you're all right, we can save up for the releases sure to come.

Wow, I'm glad you could make it out. It looks really flat to me in pics, but I guess that's because I've seen how blinged out it is under lights that make it sparkle. The box is technically done, but the gems I ordered to enhance Cinderella's dress just shipped from China today, so that won't be ready for another month or so. But I'll post pics for sure.

And if you need any tips with supplies or whatever (the right adhesive, gem sizes, etc), just shoot me a message. Unless you're experienced with this of course! It's just, there's no room for error on these boxes because if you gum up cardboard or plastic, it's a lot harder to clean up than dress fabric. Okay, enough rambling, lol.
 
Quasimodo, I love what you've done with Cinderella's box! I have tons of loose Swarovski crystals that I used to use for jewelry, so I might end up copying you :P

I'm so excited for Beauty! I love Emma Watson, and Alan Menken can do no wrong.

What you said about mistakes on dresses gives me a sliver of hope. I used the wrong glue (jewelry glue) for rhinestones on a dress and I didn't get gumming up, but it soaked into the fabric and made a dark stain around the rhinestone. I had just put the tiniest amount but the fabric sucked it up like a sponge. It dried with no improvement and I figured, damn, that's just the way it's going to look now.

Have you ever encountered anything like that? Would you have any suggestions?

ah i though it might be, thanks for confirming, do you know if they released lots of merch for the first movie? Do you think there will be a live action LE alice next year? I think the movie itself will be good but i dont think the merch will be as pretty as cinderella or BATB.

Oh that's weird. I didn't get Kristoff but Anna's plastic cover was normal for me. Maybe the QC's for the plastic covers not entirely there this time then.
