So, I've noticed there are a lot of people who will wear a plastic cover on pins that are on their lanyards. I'm sure someone here knows what they are, but I was curious if they help to keep pins on lanyards as well as protect from scuffs and scratches.

I usually put plastics on my really low LE & HTF pins of mine. Since pins shouldn't be in plastic at all imo. But it's a really good security to put on especially if you're heading out to the parks or events. But I think it's an essential to put plastics on free-d pins since nobody likes scruff marks on the rubber part ;]

I have used card protectors before. the single sleeves, and just fold them or cut them to fit. then keep it all intact by putting the post through it in the back with the locking back.
Maybe someone else has a better idea?

I personally have only recently gotten my hands on pins that I have any desire at all to put sleeves on, but what I have found is that finding sleeves for Jumbo pins isn't easy....
