DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
I definitely loved the details that went into the dress and I might even dare say they are more intricate than Snow Queen! (Even though Snow Queen and Coronation Anna will forever be my grail dolls I simply cannot justify the prices they are going for right now.) I can't wait to see her!!
Completely agreed!

So I have had Cinderella a while now but she's so pretty so wanted to share some pics and get some advice, I want to cut her hair and re curl it to better match the movie but wanted to no hard it is to do? And is the best method to boil the hair? Any help would be appreciated. She's the only doll I have ever deboxed even though she's back in her box but her dress is to pretty to leave boxed!

Very beautiful! Nice pics!

soo I know no one has brought up this topic yet but.....LE 17" Inside Out doll anyone? xD

Lol. I'm so excited for that movie! I really don't think they'll make a 17" doll for Inside Out. Especially since Honey Lemon would have been perfect for a 17" doll and they didn't give her one.

I also don't think that any of the emotions would look right at 17". But I am totally in favor of a LE version of Joy. She would be amazing with real, styled hair and a little bit of sparkle on her dress. I could definitely see a Designer version of Joy.

This is certainly a doll that looks so great out of her box. I'm sorry that I can't give you advice about how to cut/curl her hair. I have never made any changes to any of my dolls. I would be afraid to mess it up. Good luck, hope she turns out just as you imagine.

Yessssss! First of all, yep, she's so gorgeous and the only LE doll I've ever opened. I'm in the process of doing this myself, so I'll tell you what I'm doing.

1) I'm doing a test with the 11" doll

I'm going to take each curl as they're separated by the factory and split them into three. Each curl I'm wrapping around a really thin drinking straw, which I cut to size. I curl the hair around the straw, bringing it as close to her head as possible. I then split a straw of the same size to wrap around the hair. I then put a bobby pin to hold it together. That way when I boil the hair, if there's any rust it won't touch the hair. You know what? I'm thinking this post needs pics, which will take a while.

You dunk the head in a bowl of boiled water, for about ten seconds, three or four times. Let the hair dry overnight. Remove the straws. The curls will be stupid tight, so you have to loosen them to your desire. For the style she has in the movie, the curls will be looser in the middle and then tighter around her ears, and sort of woven into each other. You may not even need to cut any hair, just make sure the curls are tight enough.

I haven't done this yet to take pics and know for sure, but the work won't be hard, per se. I would still suggest trying it on the 11" doll as a practice.

I also added a bunch of small crystals to her hair (I don't really like the ones DS used, the way they're sitting in that plastic cup or whatever).

Thank you, please post pictures once you have done yours! I'm going to try it this weekend on the 11inch doll first. I dont if you can notice but I added powder to her face and she looks a lot better in person. I tried taking a pic before applying powder and my flash just made her crazy shiny but after adding powder the pictures came out a lot better!

Congrats!! Also, I just checked, and ... wow, those prices went WAY up. When did that happen??? She was still in the $400-500 range a few months ago...

Oh gosh, they really did! I was just looking at Snow White on Ebay and she's $2500 now, compared to $1000 a few months ago!

If you mean to cover her shine, I noticed her face was more matte, but assumed it was a lack of flash. I actually took acetone to mine, but I wouldn't suggest it. It's very easy to screw it up. I posted this pic many pages ago, so maybe it's buried enough to repost and show what I mean. Her hair's also curled, but not the way I want so I plan to redo it after I test the 11" doll.

If this pic looks familiar, it was posted about a month ago. Sorry to drag it back up! She doesn't even look like this anymore.

Love that pic, her hair looks much better! Can't wait to see what you do to her in the future after testing it out on the 11inch doll. Please post pictures when you do it. Yes I added powder her face which covered most of the shine, she still as a bit of shine in person but it's more like a healthy glow instead of looking like sweat lol. I might practice and one day use acetone so it's more permanent but for now the powder works. I also gently used a darker eyebrow powder to go over the brows and a tinted lip gloss on her lips. It's hard to see in person but she looks much better. Going to try out on the 11 inch this weekend and then next week attempt to do the LE Cindys hair.

Look who showed up today!!!! (I can't figure out how to rotate this.) Elsa's got a big of crazy bangs! Any suggestions as to how to fix it? I'm tempted to take a scissor and just cut off the excess part but want to know if any one has attempted anything prior. :)

Hehe, those are fierce bangs indeed. You could use a tiny dab of water-based hair gel for the bangs and slightly sweep across...or dye the bangs black/white and let 'em rest over her eyes for that semi-emo look.

 I think some pages back someone actually photoshopped the 2015 Regal Elsa into an emo version and honestly, I would've totally bought it.

I ended up just tucking the excess bangs under the rest of the bangs. Didn't want to risk cutting it since I can't even properly cut my own bangs. :p

I wonder how many more le frozen dolls they'll make, I'm surprised they didn't make Anna in her funeral dress lol! Imagine the description: Disney store proudly presents the limited edition funeral Anna from the Disney store! She is dressed for her best mourning clothes with carefully chosen fabrics that make her sparkle at the funeral! Lol

 Interesting.

I think we can expect at the very least 7 or perhaps 10 more dolls from frozen by the time its all done.

Snow gear kristroff, Hans, frozen fever Anna and elsa, Frozen 2: Elsa and Anna in at least two outfits each, Kristoff in a new outfit or two.

Wow. That's crazy but not impossible I think.
