So one of my pin wants is #48866, the "Team Possible" pin. It's not listed as a Limited Edition, but it was only given out to guests at WDW who were chosen to try out the attraction in its testing phase. I have only found one time it sold on ebay, and that was for $50. I've never traded via mail - if I were to contact traders on Pinpics or wherever, what would/should I offer for it? Several OE pins as a lot? Acquire an LE to trade somehow? - I am newer to pin trading, don't have a large stock of traders and am not at a point where I can drop $50 for a pin anyway. What have any forum members done in similar situations?
(don't know how to make pic smaller)

Perhaps it was re-released at a different time, and what's why it's OE? Or perhaps it was released to Cast Members after the trial run? It certainly is an interesting situation.

But in any event, if you're interested in trading let me know! I've never seen that pin before and love KP.

Edit: Sorry I thought you said you had one for trade. *facepalm* I would just try to talk to those trading on pinpics and see what they might like! More importantly, set a cap of what you'd be willing to give. If they exceed that cap, then just walk away.

An LE or several OE could be offered. But at the end of the day, you need to have something the other party wants. 5 are trading it vs 25 wanting, and if it doesnt crop up on the Bay very often, it will be one of those pins that will probably evade you for sometime. If you don't want to throw money at it, then good old fashion patience comes into play. I hope someone on here can help you locate it. Good Luck!

According to pinpics it is a WDI so that will make it harder. I just sent out some requests to see if I can get one for you. Patience is a key!!!

Honestly, everyone values pins differently! Some value pins at eBay prices (so you could offer a few pins that add up to a $50 value), some value at number of wanting/trading (so you could offer another OE with a similar trade ratio), and some value at LE size (so you could offer another event-only pin). It's really a toss-up! You'll also find people willing to part with rarer pins because it's a duplicate of one they already have, or people who hold on to certain lower-value pins because of sentimental value. A lot of it is trial and error, and most people won't get mad at you as long as you offer a trade you think is fair (they don't have to say yes!). Just don't lowball someone on purpose- then you might get some backlash.
