I need help. This is the first time this has happened to me and I'm not sure what I should do. I made a trade with someone and was going to be getting an Ariel ptd. Well I sent the pin last week and I gave her my address for her to send the pin. I know she has received mine. I have sent her a message asking if she has sent my pin yet with no response. Not sure if there is anything else I can do... Any suggestions?

Do you have the persons email so you can check up with them on email? Most people check their emails more often that pin pics.

At the top of each PinPics message it has both your username with the email address in brackets and theirs too . You could try using that . If you've deleted all these try sending another trade request and you should see their email address then .
If they still don't respond there's a PinPics trade report at the bottom of each web page .
Good luck , hopefully they just forgot to let you know it was posted .

it's happened to me WAY too many times when traders don't send anything ! there's just too many bad people out there and pin trading runs a huge risk .. i hope you have some luck with it but sadly there is no one else to contact .

If you contact pin pics, an admin will send notification to the other trader. If she does not make good on the trade, she will be banned from pin pics until the trader resolves the issue. I believe her name is Bev.

If you have attempted to contact this person since tracking info indicated that they received your pin, and you have not received a tangible response of any kind from them within 3 business days, then I think it would be reasonable for you to escalate the matter to the PinPics team.

I would also recommend that you CC the person on the e-mail you send PinPics.

And that your e-mail to PinPics contains a copy of all communication with the person as well as a link to the tracking info on your pin that will show that it was been delivered to the other person.

I wish we could keep a list some place with the names of the bad traders!

Normally in forums you have topics or threads dedicated to handling "scammers" when I used to do it with shoes, people in the local area would often times show up at said persons actual home address etc. For the most part I feel that keeping a community safe, especially when trading via mail is especially important, some forums I have been on even have a section where they create agreements threads on certain trades and purchases for verification of any wrongdoing that happens.

Well I got a phone call this morning from someone for Pinpics. They said that they have banned the user from the site. The only way she will be able to get on the site again is iff she makes good and sends me the pin that we agreed on. There's nothing else they can do. So I lost a pin. Kinda bummed as this is the first pin trade ever gone wrong with Pinpics in the 3 years I have been trading...

So far I've not had one go bad but I did sadly have my first pin go missing in the mail which was to a member here on DPF which made me really bummed. :(

I'm really sorry this happened to you for such a good pin that is heartbreaking.

So sorry to hear that you lost a pin to this :( Best case situation maybe they are on vacation and forgot?

So sorry that happened to you :(
That recently happened to me either through pinpics, i wonder if it was coming from the same person ??

I reported her then to pinpics team and she was banned from their site but i'm pretty sure she can still make a new account now,
even if they said to me she can't because her IP address was also blocked to make her impossible to access to pinpics site from the same computer...

Even if it perturbing, i do agree it isn't the end of the world ...but i'm mostly afraid she will continue to scam people over and over again!

I'm so sorry this happened to you, that truly sucks :( My fingers will be crossed that this debacle has a happy ending for you :)

Although Dizpins is no more the reference center is still active and can be found here: http://www.rnrcollectables.com/referencemain.htm ... if you have trouble with the link, go to PinTalk here: http://pintalk.yuku.com/ and you'll find "Reference Center" in the middle at the top, just under the PinPics logo. Click on it and it will bring up the references. You can then check references and leave references. Hope this helps ... :)

Im relatively new to PinPics trading...where are the references located on PinPics? Dizpins or something?
After clicking the 'Forum' button on the Pinpics homepage, you will see a link to the Reference Centre located at the top...just between 'Pin Pics' and 'FAQs' :)
