Yeah... $750 for a bigger version (with worse face) DFDC Aladdin and A convoluted mess of a Jasmine. Ouch.
They didn't even have the decency of embroidering the stuff on her skirt... I mean, if you're gonna charge people $750, go all out.

Ok glad I wasn't the only one who thought Aladdin looked exactly like the DFDC version. I kept turning my head between my computer screen and the DFDC set I have behind me.

Jasmine's basically a more elaborated color variant with a veil. Oy.

Well the wedding set is exactly what I feared it would be. A white variant of Jasmine with a veil and Aladdin in his Ali outfit (though he is the better of the two even with the DFDC similarly). I'm really disappointed that they aren't in the wedding outfits from King of Thieves. They really don't look worth $750 either. Dont get me wrong, I think its still a lovely set, but there is just so much missed potential here in my opinion. I do wish everyone the best of luck for those that still want it though!

The wedding set is lovely, but Jasmine's outfit really does ruin it a little for me. She could defiantly be a more extravagant, maybe even more culturally influenced, rather than reusing her same top again, and adding a more intricate skirt. I like that we get to see the Prince Ali outfit, and even though it is good to base their outfit designs from the movie, for $750, I would have loved to see something new and unique. Ali was a fake persona, and Aladdin should be himself in something original. It still is a set I would like to own, but unfortunately I haven't got to the point where I would spend that much money on dolls. One day though... :) Hope everyone else trying to buy these dolls gets what they want today and tomorrow.

I feel bad for sharing since some are having problems getting their dolls :( But Here's my Jasmine got her yesterday and wow I'm sooo happy she arrived perfect and as many mention she is way better in person I love everything about her. Her skin tone is done so light and pleasant. She's absolutely stunning. As for the wedding set I'm actually happy with how they turned out because they don't make me want them lol. I just can't afford them but oh man if they would have gone with their actual wedding outfits I would have had to buy them phew!

Good luck to everyone in stores, I'm heading there early. Hopefully it turns out to be a good experience.

She's lovely, Doll_Enchanted. Glad you were able to get her :)

Think I'm giving up :( been trying for the last hour nearly now.

I'm giving up too. I had her in my basket on the German site, but it never went past the payment screen. :'(

For anybody who hasn't seen what the Wedding Aladdin/Jasmine doll set looks like.

I for one am very disappointed they don't look anything like their outfits from the King of Thieves outfits considering they put a $750 price tag on then. But hopefully I'm considering buying this set just to go along with my Aladdin dolls. Just not now, since I'm already saving up for another Disneyland trip in January.

Ah yeah, even though I like Prince Ali's outfit (so-so on Jasmine's), I just can't get behind justifying the price. For $220, this would have been a nice set though. And I would have preferred a normal LE number, not something that has such panic around it. JMO. Of course I'm happy for the people who love it just as it is, and got it.

BTW I always kinda felt Genie gypped Aladdin with that prince thing. Aladdin wished for Genie to "make me a prince" not to "make me look like a prince." Like when Jafar wished to be sultan, he didn't just get to LOOK like a sultan!

So I'm humming and hawing over the revelation of the wedding set. After telling myself the Frozen Harrods set wasn't worth it (and regretting it) and then the Sleeping Beauty set (and somewhat regretting that) and then Wedding Cinderella (and totally regretting that) I finally broke down and decided to treat myself for a change - naturally that's when Disney decides to fall short on the special set :/ Jasmine is clearly just a colour variant with the Red skirt and Teal top (and it looks like a bit of the Teal skirt pattern on her veil?). Also the veil isn’t a veil so much as a scarf draped across her head to allow the ponytail to poke out the back. She's plenty pretty if she came out first (though I'd totally take off the 'veil' and use it as a shawl) but now she's just kind of boring.... Aladdin I'm happy with though. I like the different fabrics and textures they used on him - and I don't mind the dfcd duplication because I only collect 17" and this gives me a chance to own him :) I don't suppose anyone would be interested in splitting the cost, I take Al and they get Jas?

I also have a thought as to why they deviated so utterly from the (gorgeous!) King of Thieves design: since the Disney Store does as much as they can to avoid acknowledging the sequels, they seem to have gone the direction of creating 'theoretical' wedding outfits - in the same fashion as all those Belle dolls/figurines wearing a white variant of her ballgown. Hence Jasmine in a bleached version of her 'standard' outfit. Which is such a shame because the KoT design was so so good *sighs forever*

I still love the set but I totally can't afford it. I do wish that it was the Long of Thieves outfits but it's still gorgeous to me. Ahhhhhhh Aladdin is my kryptonite - why do they do this to me?
