I love the Disney pins because they are like little art pieces, some art cool with danglers, spinners, and what not, but I think my favorite ones are simple but have a nice ascetic design, simple mix of making use of the shiny and frosted metal and the color area. I design pins for different pop culture and comic cons so I always enjoy looking at different pins for inspiration. My personal favorite Disney pins are the 15th Anniversary Lion King ones from Disneyland, the Soccerers of the Magic Kingdom villain pins from my collection, and the ones from the Food and Wine Fest. What are the designs you love the most? From your collection or not?

I LOVE the Lion King pins! I only have two from the collection, but I met a woman at DLR who wanted a Pegasus rattle for some of them, but she never has them with her when we meet. :(

Anyway I find stained glass pin quite cool like this one:

I have the Hades, Cruella, and Yzma to that set. I also think Lion King pins have great designs(to me).

Disney Auctions LE100's. Nothing has ever come close. Especially the Gomes and Masterpiece sets - always the pinnacle of pin creations.

That said, some of the recent huge WDI pins are very beautiful, too.

Oh which ones are the Auction pins?
There are tons of them. :) Just search PinPics for either "masterpiece" or "gomes" and they'll come up. :)

Or narrow your search on the sidebar on the site using "Origin" and "Disney Auctions". Then weep for your wallet when you fall in love with them. :D

Oh really?! So which is your favorite villain?

Well my favorite Disney characters are the Titans, but sadly no pins of them exist, so Hades would be my favorite Villain by default. When I went to Disney World for my first time last week I basically spent all my souvenir money and time hunting down and trading for Hades pins. These are my finds from last week:

And actually back before then, I went to Disneyland twice my senior year of high school and bought all the different Davy Jones pins, so I guess he is also one of my favorite Disney villains as well.

Nice collection! :)
I have a few Hades pins for trade if you're ever interested. Also I think there's a fantasy pin of the Titans.

Oh which Hades pins do you have?
Oh gosh if a pin of the Titans exists, even a fantasy I would be so happy. Do you know what it looks like? I was already planning to make my own Titan pins if they didn't make one eventually.

I could send you some Hades pictures when I get home tomorrow. The pin is the scene wear all four of the Titans are on the base before they get imprisoned. I'm not sure if it's a hard fantasy pin to get or not. If I remember correctly though, it was a good design. :)

Besides my surfboard pins (see my avatar photo), I like simple pins of individual characters.

Some of the new WDI diamond series pins are great (I own all the Dwarfs)

And Disneyland Paris Refresh pins are quite nice (and some are large pins.)

I agree on the Paris lanyard pins. On the whole, they are really well designed, and great quality.

I also love pins that are of characters in poses you don't normally see them in. The Zootopia pin from the sports medal series above is a great example.

I feel like any Paris pin is just gorgeous, they always exceed my expectation in person as well. (tbh if it has sparkles im happy though ehehe)

Just curious, is there something about the Paris pins everyone likes? Quality or art style?

Personally, I like Disneyland Paris Cast Lanyard Refresh pins. (I put a picture of one above; Tony from Lady and the Tramp).

I like the Paris Refresh pins that depict simply a single character with no additional elements such as borders, text, etc. These pins are high quality, and some are quite large.

I'd agree with the masterpiece pins. They are stunning. There are a lot of beautiful ACME pins, but even though they are official, I somehow still don't consider them "real" Disney pins.
