Disney Park App question

Good Morning and Happy New Year DPF family,

I've been on the park app looking for pins (on and off for a couple months now) and I just noticed that some of the LR Reveal/Conceal pins are now available for purchase on the app; where before they were only available at the parks for purchase.

Is this new? or does Disney always offer the pin available for purchase online after a certain time frame? (hope I worded that correctly to make sense). As someone who can only get to the park once a year, I rely on this app for purchasing OE pins. Didn't realize that LR pins were available as well.

Thanks :-)

There seems to be a timeframe on limited release pins. I've noticed sets suddenly become available via the app, and I suspect there's just a certain threshold after which Disney makes them available if they haven't sold out.

Sorry to ask, but what's the difference between limited release vs. limited edition?

Limited edition has an announced set number of pins created (i.e. LE300 or LE3000).

Limited release are pins only produced for a limited time (such as a season or party) and then retired and not released again, but there is no announced total amount created.
