Hello! I was wondering where everyone purchased their pin trading bags? I've seen the ones at Disney that are around $40-50. However was hoping to find something a bit more affordable. :)

Is it better to carry a pin trading bag around the parks or to just wear a lanyard? I have found my lanyard tends to flip my pins inward a lot. Which can get frustrating. Also some pins are pretty heavy.

Thanks for any help on this.

I can only speak for my family. We like to have only our keeper pins on the lanyard. We have another one for traders or keep some pins in the chuy back pack we carry. I think most traders that have a lot of pins keep them in a bag or 10. Lol. I still recall a guy that takes a baby stroller for his pins and vinyl. Not sure if he is still around. But everyone has a style that works for them. No right or wrong way. Most of all have fun and make some friends.

Hello! We like to keep our keepers on lanyards, park traders in a fanny pack / small pouch, and harder traders in pin bags which we have purchased at pin stores or Disney discount stores.

When trading with cast members at the parks it makes it easier/quicker to pull a random unwanted pin out of a pouch and put the new pin in another pouch
As for pin bags, some are limited edition and are collectibles. A lot of bags with years like 2015 / 2016 engraved will end up in Disney Discount stores. find one near you! You can also find used bags at random pin stores or thrift shops.
For Lanyards, we use wide lanyards to stop the flipping & twisting.

I also wear my keepers/show pins on my lanyard and then "everyday" traders in a small hand-held drawstring bag. In that bag, I have a ziplock bag to keep the old pins and newly traded pins separate.

A baby stroller? That's creative. Haha. Haven't seen him around the parks. But then again there are tons of strollers everywhere. Thanks for the suggestions. Really appreciate it!

Oh wide lanyards are better? Okay thanks for letting me know! :) learning a lot from this forum. :)

Okay I'll keep an eye out for the on sale bags. That's a great idea. Thanks so much for all your help!

Okay awesome. Thanks. That sounds like a great way to do it. Thanks for the help! :)

You can wear a fanny pack like this one (I actually have it for trade on my trades list)
pin17952th200

Pin 17952 WDW - Pin Hip Bag

It has a compartment to put loose pins in or other items and the front pocket unzips and has pages in it to pin your pins onto like a pin book. I used it before and I would have loose trader pins in the one pocket and If I traded for a pin that I wanted then I would trade off of my lanyard and put the pin that I wanted on one of the pages in the fanny pack and replenish my lanyard with the loose trader pins in the other pocket.

Now I just carry a small backpack so I can carry a few more items like "More pins" and souvenirs! :)

Here's another one that goes over the shoulder:

This is super helpful. Thanks so much. That's such a great suggestion about just the whole system you have with trading. With putting the pins back into the bag and such. Thanks for the advice really appreciate it!
