01/02 Update on (possible) Scrappers of Peter Pan Window Magic
yeah but all the pins he is selling looks good
I also just noticed that the pin posts are in different positions, pin I already have has one post, this one has two, and it looks like the shadow on the back of the pin is a different material. I can't wait for it to get here! I am so curious now!
I am the one that got the one that was shown on Facebook with the tons of pictures. I also just purchased the one that Merryweather is talking about. I would like to compare it to the one that I have already. Absolutely a pp stamp can be faked, but these pins are so detailed, I don't see how it would be worth it to scrap them. They are pin on pin, they have stained glass, they have an image printed on the back that shines through the glass, lots of little details to make them difficult to scrap. Not saying I know for sure but I do have my doubts.
I think the term "scrapper" Vs "counterfiet" should be discussed a bit here....
I apologize, I did use the incorrect term. I am aware of the differences but other traders may not be so apologize for the confusion. I typed quickly and didn't proof it.
Yeah that's weird. One on top and one on the bottom corner? Can't wait to see the comparison.
While we are on the subject, anyone willing to pick one of these up for me at DLR on the REAL release date in January?
I only found one. It was a completed listing that sold for $42.97 and the seller was located in the US and wouldn't ship internationally.
And you made me super happy with it woohoo! It looks perfect to me alsoI think i won that and then i traded it to somebody on here. It looked perfect to me, but what the hell do i know
The snow white now... THAT ONE I was very confused by.DLRP pins counterfeited? maybe pinpics is wrong? But apparently, DLRP never created a flat version of this pin. The one pictured above is #33590. the counterfeit version has no pin on pin element, it is flat. #55334 looks great! and I truely wish it could be found to be Disney, not counterfeit.
A bit off topic and I can move it to a different thread if appropriate, but is it at all possible that it is just mislabeled as counterfeit because there isn't enough info? I have been disappointed and a bit irritated that a few times I research pins on pinpics that are labeled as counterfeit only to discover a few moths later that they were found to in fact be authorized pins. One pin was a hkdl (or japan? one of the two, Ill have to look up) Marie pin that I think I threw away since I was so bugged I had traded for it at the parks and researched to see it labeled as a scrapper, and another was a dlrp sorcerer pin that thankfully my mom didn't throw away. So really I don't have complete faith in pinpics regarding labeling pins as counterfeit- I wish they would just label it as unknown until more info is found out about a pin so people don't mistakenly miss out on trading possibly perfectly good pins :dunno:
On topic I truly hope this is not a counterfeit! Looks like it is going to be an awesome series and I hate to feel like we have to be suspect of them so early on! Can't wait to hear what you find out, AverysFairyTale!
I found the sale from November 1st on ebay. That seller definitely sells fake pins.
When does it come out in January? If the 3rd, yes, if around the 12th, yes. Not sure about other dates we are going...
I just talked the the seller from china this is a pre-sale if I would buy it I have to wait two months.
Bad News! I just was browsing new listings and a China seller has the Dalmatians window pin for BIN $8.95.
