Unless I'm missed it or over looked it, has Disney released what the 2011 Hidden Mickey pins will be at Disneyland for this year yet?

What about the ones for Walt Disney World?

Wow. I was really hoping this was going to say "The new HM's have been released at Disneyland." Haha. Sad subject line makes me sad.

This is all I know.

January 1, 2011

Happy New Year!! What better way to begin the new year than with a preview of some of the great series we have coming in 2011?
First we have a special look at the new Disney Trading Night pins that will be released throughout 2011. We're trying something different this year with a collection we've titled "Keep on Tradin." The series will be sold in mystery pouches at the Disney Trading Night events. The designs feature the new Disney Pin Trading logo and will include characters and icons, such as Mickey Mouse below:

You may notice that there will be three variations on each pin, a full color, a black and white, and a golden version. In many ways this series is a spinoff of the popular PT52 collection from last year. Just like that collection, the designs for the pins will not be revealed on the pouches themselves but will be uncovered by our pin collectors. Speaking of PT52, fans of that series will want to check out a similar collection we have coming out this year, the Pin Trading Stamp Collection:

These pins starring the Disney characters on stamps include several interesting features. Collectors should notice the icons in the corner of the pins which indicate a mini-series within the complete collection. There will also be chaser pins that have a different coloring than the more common pins shown above. Finally, once one completes a mini-series or the entire collection a final secret will be revealed. Good luck!
Our final preview is a look at some of the pins in the 2011 Hidden Mickey Collections for Disneyland® Resort and Walt Disney World® Resort.

Don't head into the Disney Parks for these pins just yet as they are currently scheduled to make their debut in late January. Look for a list of the entire collections in the near future, which we're sure we'll make all of our Hidden Mickey collectors happy.
All in all, there are many great series to look forward to in 2011. We can't wait!

The ODPT says, look for more information later in January. I am anxious because my parents will be in DL after the Panama Canal cruise, and I am hoping they will be able to find some. I saw somewhere that Steven Miller isn't in charge of pins anymore, so if they don't have a new pin person, maybe that is why there is a delay. I just hope it's not too long.

And it's a little early, but I can help with WDW ones in May. I am going for two weeks, and by then my Dad should have a good start on his, my, and a friend's set, so any that I find in the park, I can use for trades. And with having 3 sets available to look at, we think we do pretty well at eliminating the fakes.

Sorry, I forgot the question mark. How big of a difference one character can make, LoL!

I really hope they are hiding the best for when they release the whole listing!

This is from the Disney Parks Blog today:

When are Hidden Mickey pins being released? It is a question asked by many guests and cast members at the start of a calendar year. For those unfamiliar, the Hidden Mickey pin program was introduced several years ago to encourage trading between cast members and guests. Trading Hidden Mickey pins is now a popular activity for many visiting Disney Parks. Today, I’m giving you a sneak preview of new pins for Disneyland Resort in 2011. This is bittersweet for me as I have transitioned to a new role as Merchandise Communications Manager (you may have noticed this from other articles on the Disney Parks Blog). These pins are some of the final pins I worked on for trading; I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Many fans will be excited to hear a new Alphabet series is coming to California. This series will be different than the first Alphabet series released in Florida. I love the simplicity of this collection as it is super easy to collect (come on, only 26 letters to get!). Here is a cool story about the first set of Alphabet pins – a guest traded for letters to spell “Will You Marry Me” on a lanyard then proposed to his now fiancé. That’s magic!
Another series I wanted to introduce last year was the Casey Jr. Circus Train. Due to tight development timelines, I couldn’t create the set last year. I’m thrilled that this year fans can collect the classic Fantasyland attraction (which I always love to ride – monkey car or wild animals car?).

In recent years, I have drawn inspiration for pins from various icons found in Disney Parks. A set in the 2011 collection will feature some of my favorite icons from Disneyland park (including the mint julep from New Orleans Square!). Can you identify the other icons?

For the first time, we are featuring a collection of Disneyland Monorail pins. These pins complement monorail pins created for Walt Disney World a few years ago. Does anyone else ever dream of riding a monorail to work? I do every day!
One change this year was based on guest and cast member feedback. The 2011 Hidden Mickey collection will have two different waves. Coming in late January or early February, the first wave will contain about 30 pins. These pins will be traded until around summer when a second wave with different pins will be released. I basically split the collection in half wanting to spark trading all year long.
Another thing we are trying are the tee-shirt pins pictured at the top of this article. There will be a series of tee-shirt pins released in California. A series featuring different characters will be released in Florida. I love when guests trade between the coasts and the entire set looks so awesome.
As mentioned, look for the first wave of the 2011 pins coming to cast members’ lanyards in late January or early February. Happy Trading!

Love all of them. I wasn't sure on the T-shirt ones before, but I think I like them. Need Casey Jr Train!

Well, I like the Disneyland Monorails (Still can't beat pinpics #69993, but it's a start!) LoL! I was thrilled to see at least two Lion King pins. They really went overboard for Lion King this year :p So we at least know what the first 30 pins of the new year will look like, I wonder when we get to see the other 30ish pins, maybe when they stop releasing this series of 30 into the park?

I had never heard of Steven leaving as the pin trading manager. Is he going to still be over seeing the pin program in his new role or like Timm, is that pin trading manager role a thing of the past and no one new will be taking his place? I still think getting rid of Timm was one of the dumbest things they could do, but now getting rid of Steven? I know both still work for Disney, but their greatest job was keeping us informed of the pins! Lord knows they charge enough for them that we easily paid for their salarys. What direction are they trying to make pin trading head? The way I see it is, if it isn't broke, don't fix it. So why are they trying to fix it?

Ooohhh love the letters & the Casey Jr Train! The tshirts arent something I'd usually go for but kind of like those too.

OMG!!! :pooh: I have yet to collect hidden mickey's but I think I am going to start this year!!! :) These are amazing! I LOVE the letters and the Tshirts!!! I can't wait to start getting my hands on these :) Yippie! :piglet:

I think that was just the Disney people using the pins to spell "awesome pins," not that the goal of this collection is to spell "awesome pins." It says it's a set of 26, so one for each letter. This sneak peek just lets us see 8 of the 26.

I think the should have made 2 separate S pins and not made the Simba pin twice. There are so many other characters that start with S out there.

Austin, I think they just used the S pin twice to spell out Awesome Pins, but there are only 26 letters, so each letter has its own character. They just didn't show every pin. =)

First of all, I love a new alphabet set and I love Casey Jr. I like the concept of the Disneyland Monorails but Disney failed on the execution. Based on the designs, you can tell they are meant to be the nose cones of the monorails. Monorails have never in their history had doors on that side of the train at Disneyland. The Mark I-III (can't really tell the version by the pins) are missing the bubble top. And what should be a Mark V monorail from Disneyland appears to be a monorail from Disney World. Disneyland never had the double doors as pictured on the pin.

It would have been great if they did the 5 Pin series as being a Mark I, Mark II, Mark III Mark V and Mark VII.

o.o Are you sure? It kinda looks like Master Computer from Tron to me. I've not seen the Black Hole though so I could be wrong.

I can kind of see how you could see the Master Control Program (MCP) in that pin, but I am sure. Notice Max's head in the upper right.

Dang, really not feeling any of these. I loved 2010's Magic Mirror Villains series, and everybody dug the Soda Bottles, but so far I'm not seeing anything that cool here. Maybe the T-Shirts? Here's hoping the alphabet series has strong tourist demand. And here's hoping these don't wind up scrapped and counterfeited in two weeks. -_-
