2014 Designer Dolls - Fairytale Collection Part II
Wall of Designer Dolls - Complete Fairies, Fairytale, Princess, Villain Designer Collection Dolls - Disney Store - Deboxed and Reboxed - In Display Cases by drj1828, on Flickr
My collection of the complete set of the Disney Store's Limited Edition Designer Dolls, from 2011 through February 2014. They are stacked up in three rows with eight doll cases in each row. I am only missing the D23 Exclusive Silver Cinderella Princess Designer Doll. I have arranged the dolls so that similar dolls from the different series are in the same column. They have all been completely deboxed, then placed back in their display cases, with the cardboard backing and all plastic packaging removed. In most cases, their poses are considerably different from their original factory poses. I have tried to make their poses more natural looking.
Just added to the top row are the Disney Fairies Designer Collection Dolls (2014), which so far consists of only Tinker Bell and Zarina (from the upcoming movie The Pirate Fairy).
The rest of the top row consists of the Disney Fairytale Designer Collection Doll Sets (2013). The D23 Gold Snow White and the Prince is the last in the row (#114 of 600). The rest of the Fairytale dolls were purchased when they were released separately, two weeks apart, and have various edition numbers.
In the middle row are eight of the ten Disney Princess Designer Collection Dolls (2011). Pocahontas and Mulan of the collection are on the bottom row. They were bought separately, and have varying edition numbers. The first five dolls released in this series (Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Mulan and Snow White) where bought directly from the Disney Store. The other five dolls were purchased from resellers, after they were sold out.
Finally, the first six dolls of the bottom row are the Disney Villains Designer Collection Dolls (2012). They were purchased directly from the Disney Store when they were released separately, a week apart, and have various edition numbers.

Thanks! This isn't a permanent display because they are blocking the cabinets behind them, but they've been there for almost three months (with exception of the new additions Tinker Bell and Zarina), so they are semi-permanent.That is an amazing photo! I wish I was able to display mine that way. I may give it a shot when I get my fairies in. When you display it that way it really is amazing how many dolls have been released. If you include the D23 Silver Cinderella it will be 25 total designer dolls to date! Which is an outstanding amount.
Thanks again for sharing your pics! They really are amazing!
Thank you very much. I know, its hard to be disciplined and restrict your buying to only a few dolls. There are so many beautiful dolls to covet. Now watch all your money go to Disney! LOL.Great photo! I love the way you've displayed them. I have a long way to go before I get anywhere near this but seeing your collection (and really everyone's fabulous collections) is very inspiring. I just wish I had known about these dolls a couple of years ago. I thought I'd focus only on a few dolls I liked best but now I've been bitten by the "bug" and am starting to want them all! Yikes!
I'm sorry you've been bitten by shoddy eBay seller twice. I've been really lucky with my eBay purchases in general, but I got burned really badly a couple of years ago.So I just received an Evil Queen Designer doll from eBay today and the doll is in pretty good shape except that two of the rhinestones on the crown look like they have been re-glued as there is white glue glue/gunk on, under, above and all around the two stones, rather messy like. The rest of the stones are clean and clear. I asked the seller if they have been re-glued and she replied that the doll was never removed from the box and it came from the store like that. Personally, I kind of find that hard to believe as the inside cardboard is creased and bent in several places and very worn all along the edges. I also suspect that the photos she posted in the listing are not of the actual doll I received as there seem to be some marked differences.
Kind of getting fed up with the few experiences I've had with eBay as my SQ Elsa was missing rhinestones on her bodice, which I noticed in the first few minutes, and that seller didn't disclose that either. Funny I was just talking earlier in another thread about wanting to fix the rhinestones on my SQ Elsa but I don't plan on reselling her, and if I did, I would say that I did that upfront.
So for anyone that has this doll, do you have white glue like that around the crown? I am trying to be fair as possible to the seller and give the benefit of the doubt.
I'm not planning to open a case over this or anything, as I don't think it is really worth it. I don't want to give a negative review as I can't really know if she got it from the store like this or not. So I am trying to decide should I give her a neutral review or just not review her at all or what. Any advice?

Even though I'm missing just one doll, I don't have a great desire to complete it by getting Silver Cinderella, as I think she is way overpriced, even though she is very beautiful. I'm so glad I went to last year's D23 Expo and got the gold Snow White doll set.

As for the Designer Evil Queen's crown, my doll has the jewels perfectly set in the crown, with no visible glue anywhere around the gems. Here's a closeup of the doll, showing the crown:

Ill have to check out the DP Tink. I havent paid attention to her while at the parks. Thanks all! I agree that she is by far the best looking Tinker Bell doll I've ever seen, in all aspects - her face, her hair, her dress, her shoes and her wings. I am so happy that Disney put so much effort into their first LE Tinker Bell, and gave us such an outstanding doll. The only Tink that comes close is the Disney Parks Tinker Bell, which was first released in 2011 and is still available, and is now my second favorite Tinker Bell doll.

I'm really sorry to hear that  If the seller posted pictures and didn't clarify that they weren't of the actual doll, you might be able to get a partial refund from eBay for their misleading listing. Don't lose hope in all eBay sellers, though! I've got many of the older release dolls from eBay and, knock on wood, have never had an issue, so some sellers exist out there that are still trustworthy!
Thanks! It's still bothering me but I haven't decided the best way to proceed. Don't know if I want to deal with the stress of opening up a case and fighting with the seller.
I sent a message to the seller and she replied that's the way the doll was when she got her, but to me that doesn't excuse anything as she told me before the purchase that the doll was in excellent condition. (I'd sent an inquiry asking about the condition of the doll beforehand because of my previous experience.)
I don't think the doll is the same one in the picture, as the hair on the doll I have is lopsided and the one in the photo has a straight bun. My doll also arrived with some black marks/streaks on her face which were not in the picture. I saw looking into her history she sold another doll using the same images. I feel that if you put several detailed photos and not a stock photo on a doll listing you are suggesting that it is of the actual doll, but maybe I'm wrong...
After two bad eBay experiences in a row I'm thinking right now that I will probably only focus on new dolls going forward. As much as I want some of the older dolls, I don't want to go through this again. I was looking forward to getting the doll and now I just feel really disappointed.
