I think they're all cute, although I'm not partial to the Baby Herman one. Whew, thank goodness I don't "need" any of them for my collections, LOL, although the Eeyore could easily blend into my Tigger collection and Buttercup in my Toy Story Mania frame. Hmm, the more I think about it.... :naughty:

Well, at least this Eeyore one is going to be easier to get for my collection than the first one (typically in the hundreds of dollars these days)!!

Quick question, what's the draw of ptd pins? I don't quite get it. Is it just the low edition sizes?
Similar to Beloved Tales - low edition size, good range of characters, generally fun, often whimsical artwork that look cute together.

Low LEs and they often sell out quickly. There are a lot of characters that people like but are rarely seen on new pins. Some people collect all of them or all of the characters from a movie. And then there is the ice cream theme that ties them all together. Most people like ice cream. Those are the best reasons I can think of, plus the changes are usually surprises. We all want to know which characters are next.

It's cool that they came back today, as it's my birthday. It's a pretty odd mix for being the first ones back, but maybe they wanted to start back slowly. At least there are two that I wanted (Eeyore and Buttercup)! And since I had no real plans this morning and had the day off work I was able to go down and nab them.

Baby Herman's diaper is partially flesh colored:

I'm sorry, I work in the print industry working on packaging, sales displays, even little things like pins at times.
This poor quality control is driving me nuts. Someone is NOT doing their job properly.
For the entire run to have an issue like this should be completely unacceptable.
Someone is there signing off on these - whether the proofs they are receiving are photos or actual prototypes.
It's either they have someone in charge of the production management who does not have the skills for the position or are not paying attention.
And if the proofs are coming back correct but the production runs are coming back incorrectly then that's on the manufacturer. They SHOULD have a contract with this manufacturer that would hold them responsible for not matching the signed off proofs.

If anyone where I work let stuff like this slide as often as it does they would be gone.

</end rant>

Wow, talk about an obscure character! Baby Herman?? I don't think that many people will even know who he is; Jessica's the most recognizable character from WFRR, besides her hubby, that is.

Remember you're dealing with the same DISNEY employees who apparently cannot spell the names of Disney characters given the "Doormouse" typo on this release and "Beriloz" typo on the last one (TWICE!). Frustrates me to no end. It's one thing for non-Disney people to spell something incorrectly, but Disney employees? On public-facing materials? Really? And it's not like those are even the first times they've misspelled character names... I mean, how long does it take to Google a name if you don't know it? (And don't get me started on people in a company not knowing their own IP.) </end rant>

Forgot to mention in my previous post - Buttercup's quality control was HORRIBLE as well. I am not normally one to trade in a pin at DSF unless there are major issues such as missing enamel bits, but I had to trade him in nine times to get one without black spots or grey streaks or divots in the enamel. If you do a trade for him, be sure to ask for clear photos. Lots and lots of problems with him.

According to Facebook, Eeyore is sold out but the rest of them are available.
