2017 Pin Releases
Oh man, I step away for a while thing DSF goes crazy! XD

Well, I sure would love a chance at these pins! Hopefully I can snag something. :3

And I like the periodical online release as well (though, admittedly, I'd be furious as well if I was a local). Maybe something like the mice online, but these were the biggest bitters all year so far. So I understand the frustration.

But! I'm happy the scalpers get shafted for once. XD

I think with DSF, the releases are almost always so nice, and consistent, plus the WDI stuff (though that's limited) and events like Date Night at DLR, it just seems like the east coast gets left out of the spiffy pin releases. XD

Exhibit A: all of February

Agreed. And even when they do release pins online, they're usually released on CA time (see the 30th anniversary sets), so east-coasters get jerked around by that as well. Stay up until 3/4am or hope they're still there in the morning when you wake up... I wish they would think more about the folks who aren't right next to DSF.

I will say, I mean, it's a single California store. So I can't expect them to try and please everyone. I just wish Orlando had something even remotely comparable.

We get a once a year MOG pop up, for which you have to be a d23 member and pay for the conference.

And we have the big pin event, which costs almost $300 to get in to with the park ticket.

So while there are events here, they're super exclusive, unlike the majority of DSF. So I don't fault them, just wish we had an equivalent.

Yeah, that's very true. But (and I fully admit that I'm not 100% sure how this works, having never done an online DSF release), when they do it online, I imagine they would be able to mess around with their release times as much as they want, as there is not a human component to it. The system should take care of it all, shouldn't it?

And yes! Let's get a DSF/DSSH over here! We already have a Ghirardelli

Oh no, I don't wish a DSF style release on that poor Ghirardelli in Disney Springs! That would be an utter madhouse.

However, as a side note to those Disney Pin Maker people who spy on my posts (I know you're there...) I would be at that madhouse every time. Just sayin.

^^^^ I second this.

I would be there every. Single. Time.

Man, I was gone for a couple hours and everything is changed! I kinda feel the same way, esp since I just found out about pin trading/ DSF/ etc. Oh well, I guess! I've never bought the pins online, so I guess it'll be a learning process as well....

OMG, it's online! Well, knowing them, it'll be at 9 a.m. on a certain day and it will be hard to get into the link. LOL.

You'll be like those San Diego folks who hear about a good flip, and then pray that they can make it before it sells out. Meanwhile, I'm the one who will be like Princess and the Frog's Charlotte, "Big Daddy, PLEASE drive down to Disney Springs again! I know you were just there yesterday, but Please, Daddy, Please!" And he'll be cursing that he lives 20 min away.

 I'm anticipating that next they'll just throw their hands up and slap them online whenever they feel like it.

 I love it!

Yeah, it's crazy. It's like they sold out in 30 seconds. Do you think it's a glitch or they really sold out that fast? Did anyone get one from the website?

Has to be a glitch, since as of right now it's giving you the same message for ANY item on the site you try to purchase.

We broke the Disney Store website guys.
