Well, trading at DLR has been pretty boring lately. Mostly scrappers, starters, cutie's, and non-desirables. You see the same old pins over and over. Well Sunday was cold and blustery so I suited up and went on the trading war path. My wife took one of the 3 year olds she babysits to the Bippity Boppity Boutique for a makeover and I took the time to walk both parks, the hotels, and DTD.

First of all, how does the DTD pin trading store not have pins to trade? They said they couldn't because they were selling T-Shirts yesterday?? Uh, is it a T-shirt store or a pin store? Nice one Disney!?

Lots of pin boards around DCA, I LOVE IT!!! Not so many lanyards unfortunately. DLR had almost nothing. Almost all of these pins are from DCA or the hotels. Only the Angel T-shirt and the onlye 2012 Storybookland Lighthouse were found in DLR.

I found some goodies. Lots of completers. 1 LE of 2400, Pluto at Everest. A nice rare Cruise Line casting pin. I think maybe 3 or 4 are scrappers. Height Requirement HM, Tinker Bell w/ flowers HM, the Minnie Nerds! is suspect, and the Minnie HM losing the lanyard maybe. Not bad though.

it's funny, because to me (a relatively new trader) I LOVE trading with cast members, and I think 90% of the pins above are pretty sweet, and I'd keep them for sure... I can't imagine what it "used to be." Actually, it's probably better that I don't know... ignorance is bliss.

I've been trading a year and I think that is only the 4th or 5th legit LE I have pulled off a lanyard. I have a lot of CM only pins that are not LE's but are obviously limited. I was pretty happy with yesterday though. It seems the trading is better when there are lots of out of towners. It was like 55 and 20MPH winds and there were people in shorts and T-shirts!? I grew up in Ohio, so those people HAD to have been from North Dakota or Canada or somewhere else frigid year round! Those folks bring the older pins with them so it's nice to find some once in awhile. Still amazed I only found 1 2012 HM. That's what I was hunting for most. I even checked out CM's with Kid's lanyards best I could see and even they didn't have any. High demand I suppose.
