Another one bites the dust ...this pin is now being sold by a notorious counterfeit seller, so fakes are out there:

He must be having the counterfeits made himself, because he's been offering more and more high-end pins. He has DLP PTN's, etc.

I would believe that. Those 3D castles pins are from 6 yrs ago. I think the chances of him/her finding left over factory overruns kicking around somewhere is fairly slim

that is, if we're talking about a chilly ebay person.

or maybe a hot one?

I have seen the Punzie locket and an Aurora locket from No1 person from China. And last week I also discovered a new fake-seller from China as well, he was selling Tik room event pins. It is spreading like wildfire

This is really upsetting. This is one Belle pin that I don't have yet so trying to get one now is really going to be a pain. Thanks so much for the heads up!

is there even the remotest chance that this person is selling some good pins as well as the other known fakes? I mean, maybe they just happen to have some decent stuff and are trying to make people think they went legit or something.... far fetched i know but, I just really would hate to imagine this many more fakes appearing. Maybe a few of the listings this person has are O.K??

I see you are an eternal optimist like me, but his listings contain 3 pins of each kind: Belle, Aurora & Jas. He sold some last week as well. These are LE 250 pins. You tell me ... LOL ...

I have allso seen a person from china on the bay selling all the princess carousel pins that are fake it seems to me that they are moving away from hidden mickeys as they are noun by loads of people that they are fake so I think that they have to Change the pins they fake to try and fall us

Hidden Mickeys have a very low profit margin I think. They discovered that mystery pins are safe to fake. For one thing, nobody really knows how many are out there. Also, I have seen plenty of puzzle pins. Stamp series & Character connection series mystery pins have been massacred too.

Geez that's upsetting... Really wanted to get the Aurora one is there anyone who can message me a list of ebay sellers who are ok to buy from? I've got like one or two, but you can never be too sure.... I almost bought from the chilly person until I saw this.

Factories in the U.S. aren't practical and they wouldn't solve the problem. Many of the fakes are older pins. The counterfeiters get hold of a real pin, or a good photo of one, then contract a factory to make copies. They don't need access to Disney's factories.

I think we're going to see a couple of things in the coming months/years: (1) more and more excellent counterfeits of high-end pins, and (2) a corresponding drop in prices for those pins.
