A warning for all you Belle fans
This is just really sad. I do not have some of the princess pins that were mention and I do buy some hard to find pins off Ebay. If someone can PM the persons name on Ebay. I'd like to say away as well.

The uk pins have never been faked so why doesn't disney go to this factory and ask them to make the pins they are made of very good quality as well and the backing cards are better as well with a felt support

Hmmmm .. I would not bet on UK pins being safe. Last year while I was combing the many sites I found a picture of
on tradekey.

Does anyone think they'd try to counterfeit the designer princesses? Because if so.... Now would be the time to sell them, right?

omg this REALLY makes me depressed Disney has got to do something... it is going to make it VERY difficult for fair away traders to trust other people when wanting to buy or trade with that person....I too would like to know what sellers I should stay away from as well.... also do you think the punzie locket is already counterfeited???? that would be a real shame... do we have legit proof that some of the lockets are counterfeited?

I reallt wish that in situations like this we could post the names... It is not like this person has a DPF account. and we all know that they really ARE selling stolen factory scrap and counterfeits.

Gosh, is no pin safe anymore? I used to take comfort that if I was buying a higher end pin, there was a very good chance it's real but it doesn't sound like that's the case now.

Honestly though, I don't think they're taking the time to scrapper hinged BatB or DLP Princess Locket pins. Maybe some of the other pins are fake but in reality just because this one guy is selling them, doesn't mean that scrappers are abundant or going to run rampant of those pins.

If you're going to make counterfeits you're going to make a lot of them ...otherwise you won't make any money.

I am guessing that those more recent princess locket pins are either factory overruns or the factory workers ran an extra batch w/o authorization from Disney (maybe ?). I have seen someone even sell the DLP Tangled Dreams for $25 but it was only 1 or 2. Not multiples and multiples.

The older pins are more likely to be counterfeited (and mass produced) such as the mousgears series or DSF decades jessicas.

I know that those sellers we discuss were also selling some stained glass PatF pins that were never released in US. One of them was also selling the Tiki Room Anniversary Event pins 1 month before the event .. LOL ...

There's a story Alice Davis likes to tell about Pirates of the Caribbean. Alice was responsible for the costumes. She asked for permission to make 2 sets of clothes for all the audio-animatronic figures and was turned down. They only needed one for opening, she could make another set later. But she realized the stodgy old men in finance didn't know how much fabric it took to make one set of clothes or two. So she bought supplies for two and made two. A couple months after the ride opened, they had a fire and a couple of the figures were destroyed. The park couldn't reopen the ride until they were fixed and they were very concerned about how long new costumes were going to take. Of course, Alice had them ready.

So I kind of wonder if that's going on in China these days. Disney orders 1000 pins, well, set the line for 2000 pins, who's going to know? The low-level workers won't know what the order is supposed to be. Disney's not going to have someone on the floor keeping an eye on things.

Is this seller in the United States? If so he can be prosecuted. Has anyone tried to report this to someone at Disney? Scrappers are one thing, but actual counterfeiting protected merchandise is a completely different issue and a crime. Also, I would love a pm of the name as well, thank you.

Seller is in China or Hong Kong. I'll send you a PM.

I also would like a PM about the hot and chilly sellers, or any other bad sellers. I always check the Dispboards list of good and bad sellers, I have pretty much stopped buying pins over this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Could someone please PM me and let me know who this person (or people) are, so I don't have anything to do with him/her/them? Thank you.
