Hello. I'm in dire need of cash and I would like to sell some of my traders. Can any of you tell me if it is worth my time and effort to start a sales thread? I was wondering since many of you have threads if you are actually selling many pins. Thanks in advance for the advice.

in my opinion it never hurts to start the sales thread and it won't take too long to do it. you are not going to sell a lot of the pins you listed but in my opinion it is worth the effort.

Id say start a sale thread margaret, I started one thinking none of mine would sell yet now I have no traders haha. it wont hurt to start one.

start a thread; sometimes you get people interested, sometimes not.

If you don't want to use the links, etc., just copy & paste a pic!

I agree with the others in that I would definitely suggest starting a thread. It's worth a shot to list a few pins to start you off and then list some gradually each day. All the best and hope it will help!!

I don't think it could hurt. You have certainly have an audience here... and plenty of friends. Start with a base and add some pins every day so it won't seem so overwhelming.
Wishing you the best.

If you decide to sell this pin: Pin 29841: DCA - Tower of Terror Opening Event - Big Band Boxed Set (Percussionist Pluto) please let me know!

Thanks guys, I'm making Laz come over on Monday to help me get this darn thing started. I need gas money to go to WDW on Friday.

Margaret,
I say definitely start one, but the most important thing about the sales thread is patience. Set the prices and let it sit. Some people may only be on a couple times a week, not everyday like some of us. I find that being patient about sales makes it easier on me because I'm not stressed to sell pins at lightning speed. Plus the right person usually comes around if you give it more than a week and sometimes people need to think before they purchase pins. Hope thus helps!

If you feel like it is the right thing to do then go for it. Maybe take it slow and list the ones you care the least about and work yourself up to the bigger ones

You guys have been awesome with the great advice. I have decided to start a sales thread Monday. I'm working on it now so be ready. Starting small and working my way up

Hey Margaret, just make sure you put some pictures or do the scroll-over pictures thing, because sometimes when I look at sale threads I end up really wanting a pin that isn't on my wants list or I never even knew existed because I saw a picture of it (and then I buy it of course :lol. Good luck!

Personally, my sales here on DPF have always gone great. The number one key though is that you have to offer really great prices. There's definitely a fair share of sales that don't do well because they're asking for too much on pins. People are looking for deals on pins, unless they are true blue HGs.

I agree with the grimgrinner it is about pricing I always get swamped but do offer good deals it relaly depends on what youa re trying to do in my case its thin out traders to get some space at home!!! I think if you are looking to make a serious profit then probably not unless its htf Seriusly it doesnt take that long I cut and paste through my trades ist on pinpics dont do pictures as for some reason for me it doesnt work
