I recently saw these at my last trip to WDW and fell in love with them. Does anyone know when these will be or if they have been retired?
Side note: If they did a Series 2, who would be cool characters? Rapunzel (duh), the 7 dwarves, Pixar characters, Lion King characters... Those are the ones I'd most like to see. How 'bout you?

Those pins were weird because they were at the park and then they sold out REALLY quick and then came back and I think they're still at DLR. who knows when they'll be retired

I hope they don't do a second set.. completing the first set was hard enough! LOL

Last time I was there, they had them at Fly & Buy (DCA). I was told that they release them at 1 different location everytime they get new stock.

I was in WDW this past January and only found 4 boxes (i checked every pin stand and nearly wet myself when I did find them). Didn't see any others for the 5 days I was there. I would love a second series. Helps that i don't generally feel the need to complete sets. Ignoring the PoDMs....

They're still around methinks. I've been trying to collect em too. They were at westward Ho for at least a month then sold out. Then they had em at fly n buy and sold out. Then pin traders in DTD and sold out. Haven't had the funds to buy any as of late so I don't know where they are now but for sure none of the ones I just listed and not in LGM. Could be in another smaller pin store now or could be retired.

edit: all within the last few months

Last time I saw them was in November. I asked a cast member when they were released and she said they were brand new and came out in october (the LIES). We went back the next day to get more and they were completely gone. I really hope they're there when I go back in March/April. My goal is to get them all. I have like 8/84. ugh. Here's a pic of all of them together:

LMK if you want me to check DLR?!

I have a feeling that the Pixar set is intended to replace the Animation set. There may be pins leftover that show up, until they decide to mark them down and ship them to the cast/outlet stores. As far as large mystery sets, that debuted in January and are around off and on for the year

2010 had PT52s
2011 had Mystery Stamps
2012 had Animation Art

the 80 pin Pixar set seems to fit right in with that mold.

That'd be great! Thanks!

Oh, that stinks!!!! I think you're right, that does sound like it would be replacing it. I wish people would put them on eBay for less than $10-15 a piece. If it retires than that means they'll just get more expensive (right?). I'm sad.

Maybe, maybe not. Sometimes people want to make room in their pin books and clear out a bunch of stuff. Ebay sellers will have sales on their stores. Keep an eye out for sales threads from forum members. Also, the original price for these, with tax works out to be about $9 per pin (a little more for DLR since they have higher tax). So your favorite characters at $10 is not a bad deal.

Some Ebay sellers will always list them high, because that's how they run their business. Keep searching and you will eventually find random people (not people running Ebay businesses) selling a pin here or there, with low starting bids any maybe even low BIN.

I have about 30. I was foolish enough to think I could have finished it before they got replaced. :[

Now what do I do with it? Keep it in my collection and forever be trying to complete it, move it over to my traders, or just sell em off :[

If you sell them on eBay I'd try to buy them (depending on the characters)!
