Not to mention the details are so lacking... I keep looking at photos of the previous Film Collection series dolls and the difference in amount of detail and intricacy (using nice fabrics, multiple types of fabrics, lace, jewels, etc) is astounding.

Agree! Their faces sometimes would have some issues but the clothes would make up for it. Not in this case. In a way I'm glad because I save money but Beauty and the Beast is such a favorite that I was expecting a lot more. But to me there will always only be one Belle, Beast, one Beauty and the Beast movie .

I don't see any photos of film collection Gaston yet, except that earlier one which I'm not 100% sure was Disney Store. Has anyone seen one?

I really hope he's not packaged with Emma, I heard such a rumor and can't imagine why that would be so.

That Gaston was the Film Collection version. Weird how they can make one doll look so good and the other one of the main character look so off right lol?

As for the two pack thing, I would assume that they would sell him separate but there is going to be a two pack at the very least with him and Belle in her blue peasant outfit. Hopefully that isn't the only way you can get him.

Its official! Gaston comes in the two pack. I feel that Emma doll looks better. I hate the mirror. I like the phone case but hate how they snub the iPhone 6 plus users. :[

Just getting Gaston with Belle for now. Will have to see Belle and Beast in person. Like how detailed is her peasant dress which is more than her ball gown lol I think she's even wearing socks.

I think they look better that the JC penny ones remember that they did use a 3D scan of Emma's face so this is intact her face... she's a bit prettier than the dolls but some people just don't translate well to a figure or doll. Same goes for Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman very pretty woman but all her statues and figures sculpts have been off and not able to capture her actual beauty. I see the same happening with Emma Watson. I'll head to the Disney Store today and pick them up. Plus the actual photos from Disney store website the face looks fuller and the hair is further down on the forehead. Could these dolls have been better I think so yes but I'm happy enough with them to add them to my collection. I do hope the LE doll has more detail though

I got one of each of the dolls and the lithographs. I am very pleased with the detail in all of the outfits and stock photos of Belle are MUCH better then JC Penny's. Given how Disney stock photos are usually not as good as the real thing, I am excited! They are finally here! I can't wait for the wedding set.

Near the end of this youtube video he explains that Belle's forehead is so big; because they are molding the face, and rooting the hair on differently. It's as if her face is basically a mask placed over the hair/skull. I'm not sure how long they will keep this method, I hope they will improve it to look more natural in the future.

Funnily enough that is what I considered doing seeing that I have a gift card and want to take advantage of the free shipping deal myself lol. But yes you can use multiple gift cards to my knowledge.

Wanna know why? Because Disney probably kept tweaking the way they look till the very last minute.
Want some proof? Look at the Lumiere that's on the pin set and in the journal. He's the old version from the leaked concept art!

To be honest, I prefer the older version, who looked less like a human but more like a candelabra. I think he actually did have a face but his arms are covering it.

I'd caution people on buying the Belle dolls based on the stock photos alone - they have been taken at a more flattering angle looking down from above (this shortens the face, makes the hairline appear lower and more natural, and minimises things like under eye shadows). They have also been touched up in photoshop. Plus it's telling that they have so few photos and no closeups - compared to Beast who has plenty. There are a bunch of real life photos beginning to circle and I'd very much recommend taking a look at them before pulling the trigger.

This isn't to say that people shouldn't buy them, but they should know what they're actually getting.

I been hoping to see more of the enchanted servants (would love a set with Potts and Chip). I like the old Lumiere design better as well.

Ya know, I think you can actually kind of see the side of a face hidden behind his arm (or tentacle/collar thingy or whatever). They were clearly tweaking them up until the last minute, but it wouldn't surprise me if we got merchandise of them in another month or two or closer to the Blu-ray release. I would totally consider buying a clock of this Cogsworth (even if he looks miserable). I still need to get the replica of the animated version!

Since the Belle I bought will be my only version of her I buy. How she looks in hand wouldn't have swayed me. Thanks for the heads up though. Now what I really want to see in hand, is the Belle and Gaston set. Because I want it for him, Belle is a nice addition. And I'm very curious about the box and it's size. Limited on space and will need to think about where I'll put it.

This is what I most dislike about The Disney Store version, made even worse by the fact that they use this cheap method on the Limited Edition dolls. I want a real beast with his real beastly body. Not making a new body mold, is a horrible way for a billion dollar company to cut corners. The Hasbro version has a real beast body, and if Disney Store did the same I would have appreciated a whole lot more. (Even if it cost me a few extra dollars.)

If he is shirtless when Belle is cleaning his wounds, and he looks like this I'll forgive them but if not, Disney should produce even higher quality dolls, truly up to collectors standards.

I can't believe this "new" method they are using for the dolls, a wig cap and a separate face? Why?! On a side note if this was meant to be a doll where the gimmick was to change out her hairstyles, this is a cool idea. But this isn't the case here, it's a strange method, especially if the hair can come off so easily.

It's being said that the Princess Leia and Jyn Erso Elite Series are also using this method. I have Leia in the box so it's hard to tell but I will say it does look like its true as I don't see any rooting holes by the top and sides of her head. I'm Not a fan of this new method unless we are talking about purposely swapping out hairstyles and the hair not popping off the head too easily.
