Beauty and the Beast PodM date change?
Mo you would think they would learn by now, My thing is just tell us already so we all can figure it out... well we have pin event Nov. 2 maybe we will know by then,

I think its gonna be insane no matter what ahahah. I remember people talking about it at the Mulan release, because the CM's didnt know it was being released thanksgiving day. None the less im there I guess to camp out, but the change of date would help me because Im not a premium pass holder but meh!

Here's another grain for thought. "Pluto's Christmas Tree" PODM is scheduled for dec. 6th as of the PTN last week. so that would be back to back weeks????

Hmmm, good point, but we would be done with this madness! At least Disney didn't schedule that for Christmas Day, lol.

At the last PTN (last Friday), they showed it being released (still) on 11/22 (Thanksgiving). One would have thought that if they decided to change it, they would have announced the change on the preview boards!

I hope it doesn't change....but if it does, I still have that day (11/29) off from work.

Well since I live in Ohio and not able to make it, a date change doesn't really effect me. However, If I have someone picking me up this pin and it effects them, then it does effect me so I hope it doesn't change.

By the way, did I mention it would be awesome if someone could pick me up a couple of these BATB PODM's for a guy that lives in Ohio and can't make it down to WDW cause he has no vacation time left and has to get a 2nd seasonal job to help pay for Xmas and forced to worked on Black Friday and miss all the good sales. If someone could do that me, I would be "Eternally Grateful"

I would just like a confirmed and final date. (Hoping they don't change it.)

You know what would be really bad? They decide to change the release date from 11/22 to 11/29 and advertise it heavily. Buuut, half of the pin selling places release them early on 11/22, and mayhem ensues!!

Hope it doesn't change! Already have plans to fly out to WDW from SFO just for this release... Trying to reschedule days off and travel plans would be highly unlikely ... I hope no changes are made otherwise it will be an interesting scramble to get new plans

I sent a email today and my reply was thanks for contacting us we will get back to you in 10 working days.... ummm really the next PTN will be before that

I'm genuinely torn on this issue.

I think, even with the wristband system in place, this release of an already popular pin series with an extremely popular Disney film, on a holiday, where pretty much everyone is off work... I honestly think it will still be madness. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the scalpers and the other people (the ones who were reported to have camped the day before at starting at 4:00 pm for other PODM releases) now bring larger groups of people. I've already heard friends of mine worried about the same thing and so they are talking about parking elsewhere and coming and camping outside ESPN Zone/Rainforest Cafe. I know that it's technically against the rules but Disneyland has yet to enforce this (it wasn't enforced for SBW or Mulan since both releases I was told of people who arrived the previous day at 4pm and set up camp/chairs and also witnessed people there prior to 5/6am ). Also add to the fact that I've commonly heard of collectors bringing all their family members for multiple scenes (which is easier now given the holiday). For all these reasons, I kind of hope they change the date.

However, everyone here is correct - it isn't really fair to those that HAVE planned around this date and I don't like seeing people screwed over/disappointed because I've been there and know how it feels - it really sucks. I'm in the "Disney should have planned better" boat.

The sad truth is that Disney doesn't care how it effects pin collectors. They may change it for their own reasons, ie staffing issues, but not because some guests will have to change vacations days, flights, hotel reservations, etc. Whatever day they release the pin, we will come and buy and that's all that matters. $$$$$$$$$$$

You hit the nail on the head, they don't care and will do what they want. People will buy the pin, it will sell out, no matter what. I'm set for Thanksgiving.

PS...PoohLady, LOVE your Rick Springfield!! I saw him at the Food & Wine a few years ago, he stood right next to me on the bleechers while singing. Thank goodness that didn't happen when I was 18 and totally in love with him!!!! LOL Best mini-concert ever!

That's what I heard too but I thought the change last year was only at DL? Does anyone know if that's true?

Honestly with all the money some of us spend on pins I think the parks should just send representatives over to our houses and just GIVE us the pins as a THANKS to how much money we spend of these little pieces of metal. That's just my opinion though

odpt.com does not show BaTB in "Upcoming pins" for either park, but it was there last week. Best of luck to everyone to get awesome scenes regardless of the release date.

I read the FB page and commented. They don't put all their releases on that page (although PODMs have, historically been put there, in the past). The most recent one that wasn't listed was the Haunted Mansion Holiday pin that was released on Saturday, October 13th, in connection with the pin signing. That was only listed in the Parks/Pin Blog by Disney, not in the list of pins to be released in October.
