Beauty and the Beast PodM date change?
I beleive it is more just carelessness, as they just schedule them for Thursdays as it always works for them... Never planning ahead for this one holiday that is always on Thursdays... I mean year after year, you would think by now there is a special note or postie in the scheduler's calendar saying...
"Do Not Schedule Pin Releases on Thanksgiving!!!!"
I think it is great you home school my hats go off to you I for one could not do it.
Here's another grain for thought. "Pluto's Christmas Tree" PODM is scheduled for dec. 6th as of the PTN last week. so that would be back to back weeks????
You know what would be really bad? They decide to change the release date from 11/22 to 11/29 and advertise it heavily. Buuut, half of the pin selling places release them early on 11/22, and mayhem ensues!!
The sad truth is that Disney doesn't care how it effects pin collectors. They may change it for their own reasons, ie staffing issues, but not because some guests will have to change vacations days, flights, hotel reservations, etc. Whatever day they release the pin, we will come and buy and that's all that matters. $$$$$$$$$$$
I was not collecting PoDM's at the time... But from what I heard... Please correct me if I am wrong... But didn't they do this exact same thing last Thanksgiving for the Lady and The Tramp PoDM's and went ahead and changed the date from 11/24/2011 to 11/17/2011...???
They did the same thing but did not announce the change until weeks before the release... You would think that they would learn from last years mistake...:banghead:
I like how you think!Honestly with all the money some of us spend on pins I think the parks should just send representatives over to our houses and just GIVE us the pins as a THANKS to how much money we spend of these little pieces of metal. That's just my opinion though
