Beware people trying to trade Magic Measures cast pins

This is a warning to anybody who might want to trade for the Magic Measures 2014 cast travel agent award pins. I just traded for several of them from a former member here who said he received them from a cast member friend. They were not quality pins. He never told me that there were as he puts it "flaws" in the pins. I suspect he is dealing in scrapper pins and would highly recommend against trading for any pins in this series or this trader.

I will never again trade for this series of pins as they are being sold in multiples from China.

Over on FB, I saw someone selling several styles for what I thought was a cheap price. This would explain it. And oh yes, our favorite NC seller with his new "alien" username is selling them on Ebay.
 
If I still had them I would try to do that. The Bambi pin that was sent to me had a major divot down the center of the pin and the Simba pin I received had major steaks in it.
 
I believe the authentic ones have the serial number backstamp. I saw a Simba one with and without the #. The one with the # I'm told was direct from the CM who obtained it.
 
Oh dear. I have a WiR Magic Measures pin coming from a pinpics trade. The user seemed legit... I guess I'll just have to wait and see, and hope. :/
 
You should start a FB account, even under a different name and join all the FB Disney Pin trading/selling groups. The scrapper Magic Measures have been around for a while now

Eh, I'm FB and a member of lots of the Disney pin trading/selling groups, and I didn't know about it. Nobody can be aware of everything.

I have the Lion King one, and it seems legit. Doesn't look too bad (except for maybe a few pinpricks, it's been awhile since I've looked at it). I can take another look at it and post photos when I have the chance.
