But since UC Irvine is about 18 miles away, I don't think it will impact DLR at all, unless you are flying in the same day of the event.

If you are flying in to John Wayne, it could be a problem, since UCI is semi close to the airport, but DLR should be no problem

The President will be in the area at the time of the event, so traffic will probably be a mess. They tend to shut down roads and such when he's around.
