Hi, hope this is in the right place as I'm new!
I currently only own 2 pins and would like to build my collection a bit before I go to Disneyland Paris in a few months time. Looking on eBay I see a number of deals which are too good to be true! (50 pins for £15) etc... How do I know if the pin someone is selling is genuine? Shall I only bid on ones that come with original backing cards? I don't want to waste my money.
Thanks in advance for replies :)

Almost all of the pins in the big bargain packs are scrappers unfortunately :( BUT there are some great deals to be had on this forum! People sell cheap grab bags of pins (LE, OE, etc) a lot on here! :) I know it's a little harder to buy bulk because of postage to the UK, but it's better than buying fake lots of pins on eBay ;) I am sure others will tell you more- have fun on your trip! :) <3

Yep, and we get hit pretty bad with customs, too :( On DPF you'll find a lot of people are willing to mark 'gift' on both trades and purchases, though! I wouldn't worry, and you can always talk about it with the seller first, too! :)

I once spent $80 + $60 shipping online with the Disney store and UPS demanded £35 customs before handing me my parcel, I had to pay cash at the door! :eek2: Never again! But I had a hat sent from America and it passed through the system with no charges!

There are many people, including myself, who are willing to buy items from the Disney store and ship them overseas. If you ever want to buy anything from the DS, I have no problem buying it for you. It cuts the shipping down dramatically.

As for buying pins on ebay, always look at the sellers feedback rating. I generally do not buy from sellers whose rating is less than 99.5% if the few bad ratings are because the person ships "too slowly" I usually buy from them. Never buy the pin lots because they are scrappers. Also, if the deal is too good to be true, it usually is.
