COLLECTION Carousels and “Attractions and Rides”

[Story]

We had a ‘staycation’ this weekend and one main feature was pin organizing which is a lot of fun for those of us in the family who collect - especially when we didn’t have the chance to organize after our last trip ❣️ (it was a beautiful trip with a not so fun finish feeling coming home this past July but that bit is a story that has nothing to do with collections 😅)

So it got me to finally decide what to do with all these carousel ponies that my family and I have been collecting through this year. I decided to really narrow down my favorites and plan for Peter Pan flight which I hope I’ll be able to add at some point after it’s released next month 😄

My it’s a small world pony made it in my sisters collection since she was short a pony or two or so for her collection (we do a lot of in house pin trading in my house - great feedback and the shipping prices are unbeatable! 😂)

One feature I especially love about this series is that they spin! So I don’t have to worry about some ponies not being able to face the way I want them to on the display 😍

The D pins bring me right back to hidden Disney hunting at Disneyland and the fun we all had with the 70th key 🥰 my mom’s collection takes the cake on the windows series that have been coming out, but i was looking for mainly one for my collection. My sister and I managed to find a dumbo and a carousel so we both decided who gets custody of who rather amicably 🥰

Because this page prominently features the carousels, I have to give a huge shout out to @Connies_Hobby and @Pidge for their delightful help in the DL side of the releases. I have not been able to do pin collecting the way I have in a long while since this past year, and pin friends like them really remind me of why I love this hobby❣️ Having fun with shiny metals makes some pretty awesome memories along the way 🥰❣️

The carousel I left a space for is Peter pan’s flight being released in December 🥰 I decided not to be a completist with the set and just pick the ones that went with the page- currently my sister is enjoying the small world one I had 😄💞 but Peter pan’s flight has all the elements to the pony look that I’ve been loving with this series and is one of my favorite rides 😍

I have an exciting update that split this page in two but so excited for it 😍

My grail came unexpectedly to me !! Update to come later when I have a pic- I’m so grateful to my sister generously trading with me! 🥹😍🥰

SO I mention a lot of my family members collect pins. And when I mean that I mean like a house full of pins when we decide to pull out pins and do pin week. Older brother, older sister, younger sister, 2 nieces, a little nephew getting psyched about the shinies at 8 years old and my wonderful mom who started it all… Yes, a full house and a lot of fun collections to share with 😍

Well my older sister was eying a pin that happened to also be my grail pin. I told her since she found a deal to go for it! I would love it to just be in the family. The pin came, and she had a good laugh. It was way, WAY bigger than either of us imagined. I don’t know if I ever would have guessed this pin was made that big. I felt bad for her because she invested a lot in it and it didn’t fit her books. I was looking at my pins yesterday and … well, I have a pin bag that has bigger pages 🌚 …

NOW I can’t just take this from her despite the fact that she’s generously offering! So there had been some pins I was ready to part with that I was about to put for sale. I showed her and turns out some pins were able to help her princess pages 😍 We traded but I still count it as a special trade/gift because this baby huey beauty of a pin never would have become a part of my collection if it weren’t for her 🥹 :

ADD to that … some of my ponies I had given away would have worked to help the surprising room I still had on the page! So little sister and mom joined into the trading/gifting… it was a story pin kingdom group effort 🥹❣️

Now I present to you… better than I could have imagined! The carousel page!!

WOW The collection was already great, but that big beautiful centerpiece pin is a 'chef's kiss' addition! Congrats, and it's lovely that your whole family can gather together and enjoy a hobby.
