cheshire cat teacup pin 50th 2005

Hi.
I have a Disney Cheshire cat pin. Its a Golden Vehicle Collection from 2005. 50th anniversary pin. Vehicle Number 9 out of 11 in the Golden Vehicle Collection. the cat is in a golden tea cup.
I was looking around and all the ones i can fins that are the same pin have no pupils in the cats eyes. Yet mine has black pupils.
Does anyone know why mine has pupils when all the other ones I find have none? I cant find a single picture or any info on it.

I have never seen one with pupils. That sounds suspicious. Maybe somebody took a sharpie to it?

I created a album and posted a picture of it in there.

It looks like they were there from the factory to me. I tried to rub them off just now and it looks the exact same. I looked at it under a magnifying glass and it appears to be under the clear protective coat.

I purchased my pin directly from DLR and it doesn't have black pupils. Where did you get your pin from?

I've never seen one of those with pupils either.

It was purchased at Disneyland back in 2005. We were going through boxes of old stuff and found them. Hmm this is very odd

Definitely odd. I'm thinking quality control wasn't there and the pin you have slipped through the cracks and got sold at DLR. If you still like the pin, keep it.

I was planing on selling it. Do you think it would be worth more or less money?
