Christmas and Sketchbook ornaments

I saw the meg ornament the other day & nearly exploded. I'm really hoping it means there will be future Hercules merch in the work, or I hope it sells so well Disney finally realizes Hercules' potential. :daisy:
 
In addition to all the amazing new Storybook ornaments added to the site today (pretty sure I'm buying all of them!!), they've started up the monthly ornaments again: Art of Disney Animation Monthly Ornaments

These ones look amazing, and there are a number of rarely seen characters. This months is:

Another bunch of Sketchbook ornaments appeared on the US site :) Really want the Simba one and the Beast in the bath tub! :rofl:
 
I saw those and ordered the Evil Queen with magic mirror for my Snow collection! (I won't be using this as a Christmas ornament.) The photos look like the lenticular mirror changes from rising smoke to flames.
 
I first saw the new ornaments while checking the site at work... I got so excited when I saw the Beast one I scared everyone. The Evil Queen one is so brilliant, can't wait to get it! Very happy to see the Aristocats ones... but I wish Toulouse and Berlioz were included to.
 
Definitely going to have to get my hands on the evil queen one! The beast in the bathtub is just hysterical.
 
A few have turned up on the UK site now, including the Simba one I wanted, so I'm pleased :)
 
Oh I bet the Pocahontas shoe is really pretty. I love Meg, that shoe is adorable.

I get a new princess in a fabric dress ornament (do they have an actual name?) every time I go to Disney, they're so pretty. I just saw they have new Elsa and Anna ones, so sad I won't be able to go until 2017... think they'll still have the ornaments?

So when I saw the smaller sketchbook versions in the Disney store I got so excited! I picked up a few last year when they were doing the friends and family sale. Does anyone know if they're all completely different from last years or similar? I want to ask my mom to pick some up for me, but I don't want to ask about ones that will look just like what I already have and I have no way to check my ornaments. Anyone see a comparison photo? I couldn't find anything. Thanks!
 
For anyone who is interested in multiple sketchbook ornaments, they will go on sale for $10 if you buy two or more in Sept or October. If you can hold out, you can get them for bit cheaper

Thanks! I was hoping they were going to do the 2+ sale this year, now I know when to start planning a trip in to a store.
 
I started collecting these ornaments last year and plan to get more this year. I love the princess ones with fabric skirt they are very nice looking. I am surprised that I haven't seen any Inside out ornaments from Disney this year. I saw Joy at Hallmark but nothing as of yet from the Disney Store. I would love an Anger ornament

I would die if the Disney Store did Inside Out ornament's of any of the characters! I would love Disgust!
 
Does anyone put these ornaments on their christmas tree? My partner is insisting I don't put them on the tree as they are not very Christmassy! He only likes the ones that are Christmas themed.

Yes! My mom lets me pick the theme of the tree every other year, so it's an entirely Disney tree when its my turn. (It's still beautiful and Christmas-y.)

All I ever have on my christmas tree is Disney Store ornaments with the occasionally christmassy ornaments mixed in so that it doesn't look like Disney puked. I also love putting the Hallmark ornaments with them, but my family lets me do the tree every year so its always Disney. They love seeing how I mix Disney and christmas together and it's also a fun challenge for me as well!

I only have a few, but they tend to not make it to the main tree. I usually have a pretty small tree and do more of a sparkly nature based theme (lots of flowers, birds, ribbon, Lenox) on my tree and these don't mix well. Most of my ornaments have special meaning and came along before the Disney ornaments, so they have priority. I have another small fake tree on a table I put them on or around (this good because kids like to grab them). I have the musical Elsa and she's just too big and heavy for the tree, so I have her on my entry way table at Christmas time. This also is good because I don't have to worry about my nieces and nephew shaking breakable ornaments off of the tree while turning the music on. This year I've just got the Evil Queen and the light up Tink. Tink will certainly go on the main tree. She's adorable and I love how she lights up. She's very Christmassy. The edges and center of the wings light up and change color. She'll fit well on my tree. The Evil Queen isn't Christmassy at all in my opinion, but it's a lovely ornament. She'll be displayed year round with my other Evil Queen figures.
 
He doesn't mind disney ornaments, if they are Christmas themed so for example I just got a olaf ornamnet and he is wearing a Santa hat so he is ok but for example I want the evil queen decoration but he says it's not Christmassy lol

If you are able to would an option be to find another tree, perhaps smaller that you can claim as your own and make Disney themed and only put the Disney ornaments on? OR if you have a mantle or a shelf lay down some mirrors on it and just set your ornaments on those and maybe add some lights/garland etc around them?
