i love the cosmetic bag. Thanks for the heads up!
I saw the movie at an advance screening last Thursday night. I loved it. All of us who went together did. Loved the actors, the beautiful sets and costumes, and enjoyed the sweet story. I wasn't even planning on getting the LE blue gown cinderella, but had to after seeing the movie. My only disappointment was finding that so many of the movie items are sold out already, not limited edition items, just regular things from the movie. Hopefully they will restock the items, since before the movie I didn't even want them. Anyways, I'm new here and enjoy reading everyone's comments, thanks!
anyone know when the iHome cinderella stuff is coming out? the carriage speaker is one of the last things on my list of cinderella things to buy.
Did anyone get the book A Wish Your Heart Makes ? I got it the other day and although I haven't read a word of it yet, the photos and illustrations are lovely!
I'm thinking about getting the Mary Blair book next.

I haven't gotten it yet, but I planned on buying it together with the "Once Upon a Dream" book that was released when Maleficent came out. I am really excited to read it! Does it seem to go over the history of the original animated film all the way up to the new one?
I went to check out the Cinderella windows at Saks Fifth Avenue today. They had the Cinderella dress, the slipper, the Fairy Godmother dress and all the designer Cinderella-inspired shoes. I'd seen the Cinderella dress before when it was displayed at JCPenney (yes it is gorgeous) so I was really excited to see the Fairy Godmother dress (also gorgeous). And I stopped at the Swarovski store and got the crystal slipper, which is stunning. I got the soundtrack earlier this week so I do believe I am officially done with all of my Cinderella purchases until the DVD/Blu-ray comes out. (I think -- I am still half considering the carriage speaker if I can find it and maybe the Mary Blair book but then I am done for real). My previous need for a Disney room has turned into a need for a Cinderella room. I still can't believe how nuts I've gone with all this merch. I think I am obsessed.
I have "Once Upon a Dream" too. They are both lovely books.
It starts with the traditional fairytale, goes into the 1950s animated film and ends on the new one. I recommend it!
I went to Harrods in London today and the windows are gorgeous. I'll try upload pics somewhere so you can see. Saks explains their lack of Fairy Godmother & blue gowns, they have:
-Slipper
- Cinderella and Prince wedding attire
- Designer shoes
- Beggar woman gown & Ella work dress
- Stepsisters corset/lingerie
- Ella pink ball gown
- Tremaine green dress & sisters spotted ensembles
- Tremaine Blue Ensemble with hat (this is STUNNING in person)
Recommend if you want to take photos, go in evening. Reflections off glass are less giving a better view
Amm3 which slipper do you mean, the small one?
So I joined PhotoBucket so I could share some photos. Here are a few pics from the Saks Fifth Avenue display:
