I just downloaded the app. Best of luck smallcandles!
I had some discussions with the pintradingdb admin, but that conversation kind of fell off for some reason. I plan to release the app's data on fairly regular basis (the program to export the data from the database is complete, but I haven't worked on the program to upload the data to google drive yet), but that type of sharing will be somewhat delayed -- perhaps happening every few months. I'd be open to making that more regular if we can come to a sharing agreement with other sites.
Thanks! We added all of our Mushu pins, so the app should have a lot of pins you care about No much Mulan though.
Send him a PM on FB. Ryan Beevers. Or through the PTDB FB page
We're crazy busy getting ready for the pin event at the moment. I'll see if he wants to chat some more after we get back from Disney
Since we've got all the competing projects... I'm not one who likes do a lot on my phone. I prefer a computer and a real keyboard. But when I am in the parks, or at a second hand shop that has pins, or a pin event the types of pins I am always looking up are the hidden mickey and mystery pins that I am missing. So in terms of data addition, the more of those types of pins that are available, the happier I am. Also, the pins I need for a specific set (for me it's Resort Holiday pins). So if you could add, like a private pin group (even if we are limited in the number of sub-groups we could set up) of whatever content is most important and specific to our personal collections, that would be great.
For me, I'm the same. When I'm at home, my preference is a computer with a keyboard. It's been a low priority for me at the moment, but the plan is to have a desktop version of the app at some point. I'll either build out a website from the backend or compile the app for installation on Windows and Mac. I took a look at building the app for Windows a few weeks back, but the software I use to scroll through pictures wasn't cooperating and so I shelved that for now. Given a week or two of coding instead of adding pins, I think it I could get Windows working. I've got lots of plans, but only limited time
I liked how you used Mushu in your sample search
Ditto, perhaps we could chat in person at the event?
I really like your app. Played with it a bit today and looking forward to adding pins!
Sure. We will be in lines on Friday and should have a table on Saturday. My wife and I plan to be wearing a tag that has our logo on it so if you see us you’ll know it
Version 1.0.3 has gone live on both iOS and Android. The biggest change is the addition of "quick search" which allows you to type search parameters in a more natural way. If you want to search for Mushu pins, just type "mushu". For more advanced searching, including things like the release date or searching by group, click "Advanced".
The full list of changes are:
-Added "quick search" feature for more natural searching. Click "Advanced" to search for more than just keywords.
-Added ability to search for pins using ids from other pin databases
-Tapping now allowed anywhere on pin/user info in search results (rather than just the image)
-Messaging message input area updated to increase height (rather than scroll) when typing long messages
-Disabled image cropping on iOS as it was decreasing the image size
-Updated featured searches
-Added ability to save filters of owned, wanted, and for trade pins
--Fixed sorting in group list (pin filter)
--Fixed empty whitespace at top of each of the main tabbed pages
Thank for the updates.
This is brilliant thanks! I'll give it a try
Congratulations on your release and updates. Love the logo.
Just wanted to post a note here as well in case folks are watching the thread. Collectible PinTrader now has a website version at Collectible PinTrader
