Hi!
I was just wondering if someone could explain to me why the rapunzel compact pin is so sought after? What does it sell for?

It seems like a lot of people have it in their signature as their grail.

I am contemplating putting mine up for trade/sell.
I would only be looking to trade for PODMS rare scenes, and designer pins. What does everyone who knows about this pin think is fair?

I don't personally want it; I really don't think it is that spectacular for what it costs. I think others are completists though and that's why it's in their siggies. It's a grail in the sense that there are only 250 (I think) and it usually sells pretty high. Rapunzel and LE is a crazy combo.
 
Ya, I heard it sells for a lot! Like how much? A friend of mine said they were going to buy it if they saw it on ebay again, so I was just wondering what "a lot" is in pin world

OMG I did! I'm super sorry I am so excited! :) I will def get back to you personally by tomorrow. I'm sorry everything has been crazy I have shingles and the meds make me forget, like, everything. LOL!

I think it last sold between $1500 and $2500. But that's crazy for one pin/mirror.
 
i think its really nice. but i like compact pins. im also a completest ( well trying to be) but with a man who doesn't like to pay crazy money for pins. no job and a planning a wedding. i dont think ill be bidding for it next time it comes round
 
It last sold for $1200. The one before that sold for $1500.

Its a pretty pin I own it and I love it, but I didn't pay that ridiculious price for it. I traded for it a while ago when it first came out and tangled was just starting to become popular for about $90 value in trade....

Its expensive and sought after because it was a DS pin and did not sell out. It is le 250 but it went on clearance and even then i believe it took forever to sell out if it even did. So like most pins that go on clearance it becomes hard to locate since not all 250 are circulating within the pin community via in a collection or trade.
 
Ok I hope this doesn't seem sneaky, I didn't want to mention it at first until I understood the interest in it.... But I have one!! Mint condition with the original foam even. I'm not sure what I should do with it!! I love tangled and am collecting her but I'm not a completest... So I'm just not sure what I should do with it :-o
 
Trade it for a grail... You can put up a thread make a list of pins you'd be willing to trade it for and see what happens. I'm sure plenty of people on the forum would want it. Heck even I want it to try and get some of the tangled pins I'm still missing... Haha. But yeah. You should make a thread with SPECFIC pins you let it go for...otherwise you'll just get flooded with pms and comments saying look at my traders over and over again.

Thanks for your input! Going to try and feel it out here first and see what people think I can get for it. Then when I am 100% committed to the idea I will start a trade thread :)
 
Hahaha good idea. That's a pin you don't want to be too hasty to trade and then maybe regret it later...just out of curiousity are you looking for the first set of designers or te new couples designers? And PODM wise are you missing grails scenes for all or only looking for key movies? Always good to be detailed about key things you're looking for or someone can go and offer you the "grail" scene for mickeys Christmas. Haha

Dang... I have some stuff you are looking for, but wish I had doubles of them so I could trade :lol: oh well...
 
I have some of those as well and some of them are for trade and some aren't.... So I guess it would depend on the combination. Hahaha. But I think your list is obtainable. You should be able to get multiples off your list for the one pin.

This is incorrect, a year ago it sold for $60... Then it sold once for $1500, then for around $1000 twice on eBay, and finally for $1200 from lunar basket I believe. And lastly I traded around $1800 in value for it recently :) so that is the extent of the compacts Journey. :)

If it was me, I would sell it and then put the money away for when your grails come up and buy them. I would think you would be able to get quite a few that way.
 
I would put it on ebay if I were you, I don't think anyone will be able to trade for the EXACT pins you are looking for!

It will sell fast on ebay, and you can buy your ultimate grails! :D
 
I have been really hesitant on eBay ever since I had a bad experience. I sold a pin that was on the card from Disney auctions and in the original bag even. I only sold it because I was selling some pins to save up for my wedding. Well long story short it sold for around $200 I shipped it right away and then the person reported it as a fake. I lost my pin and my money and it was 100% authentic :( I would die if something like that happened with this one
