Contemplating selling/trading my Rapunzel compact. Need some guidance!
I have been really hesitant on eBay ever since I had a bad experience. I sold a pin that was on the card from Disney auctions and in the original bag even. I only sold it because I was selling some pins to save up for my wedding. Well long story short it sold for around $200 I shipped it right away and then the person reported it as a fake. I lost my pin and my money and it was 100% authentic :( I would die if something like that happened with this one

How did you loose your pin and the money. If they didn't send you back the pin they should not have been refunded.

Ebay protects the buyer, pretty much only. The buyer opened up a case, I explained that I bought it personally, sent pictures and told them if the buyer wanted to return it I would gladly refund the money. Then the next thing I knew they said the case was closed and the money was refunded to the buyer. I called and emailed eBay and they said the case was already closed and there was nothing they could do about it. I said, not even requiring the buyer to return the pin? And they said that once a case is closed it is only between the buyer and seller to work things out, and that they are not involved. It says it in the fine print apparently.
So I contacted the buyer again and again and they never wrote back and never returned the pin :(

My friend had a similar experience with amazon recently with a text book she sold and they said case closed and there was no recourse for her either :(

Wow, where did you ship the pin that was reported fake? If it's local to a few DPF'ers we should get their name and pressure them to send it back. That isn't right, that is flat out stealing and fraud!

FYI, if you haven't figured out, don't ever admit you have a pin worth a lot on here. People will send you every sob story or half-value trade request in the book. I really don't like PM'ing people asking for pins unless I am offering something of equal value and honestly there aren't many pins out there of equal value. Maybe an Up or Tangled marquee or deisgner set but even like an Ariel seasons or a couple R/C pins aren't worth that thing. Be careful. If all else fails and you're afraid of eBay you could try MyDPins. I'm sure Josh would make you a fair offer and he's trustworthy. Less hassle.

Wow, remind me not to let you do pricing for me!

I paid 1k for the Compacts I purchased.

UP marquee $800
Tangled Marquee $650 -$750
DP set $1800 and up
DV sets $800
DFTC $ 1200 - $1500

Omg I would love to own this. I would trade from my collection! I have a few tangled scenes(profile of Flynn and punzel in gondola, kingdom dance scene, glowing hair), designer maleficent, might be able to get designer Ursula, etc. Pm if you decide to pull the trigger! Good luck :)

Thank you everyone, and echo, I will keep that in mind, those are 3 scenes I would love to have.

Mark- The transaction was a little over a year ago now, I do not remember who it was. I just sort of accepted it as a lesson learned. If I ever decide to sell again and such a thing happens, it is nice to know I have a community that would back me up :) And thanks for the tip about my d-pins! Will keep that in mind as well

Sometimes when it is extremely HTF high value for extremely HTF high value TRADE you have to put eBay dollars aside and figure out if you really want that pin or this pin. But someone who buys their street cred on eBay probably wouldn't understand that.

Who needs "Street Cred"? I can afford most of what I need, and what isn't for sale I get HTF pins to trade for them. Too bad it seems to chap your hide that I am able to afford to do that.
