I'm going solo this year (my wife can't come because the kids have to start school around that time). I'm going to try to get the Sorcerer's Ticket... I had it in 2013 also. Anyone else going?

Ethan

Would you recommend the sorcerer's package?

It will be our first trip and we're trying to decide if it's worth it. That's quite a bit of money (two tickets).

I'm also debating between the sorcerer and the normal pass. I'm leaning towards the normal pass, since I probably wont be able to go on the Friday anyway.

Do the non-sorcerer passes sell out quickly? Or can I wait a few days/weeks/months to get it?

I think they got too many complaints last year to let the sorcerer packages get the designer stuff every day. If you are getting the package for 2015, I wouldn't bank on getting multiple sets next time around like that.

The one thing I would bank on is that for the cast members working the expo it will probably be their first time at a d23 expo, and they will have learned nothing from previous ones, and be completely surprised/overwhelmed and disorganized for the size of the crowds.

If you are going to get the normal pass, there is no real hurry - Best discounts are by the end of the year, but tickets will be available even after that. I bought Friday tickets last year about a week before the expo (no discount).

I'm definitely going! Been wanting to go for so long!! & since I have a good feeling Aladdin will be coming out of the vault in the fall next year, I will definitely be get everything Aladdin merchandise. Not saying it's a for sure release for next year but I got a good feeling it will. I'll probably be getting the all 3 days regular pass :]

I'm planning in getting the 3 days regular. Is it worth it to buy the silver or gold D23 membership? Other than the discounts will I get any perks? Do regular pass people have a shot at con exclusives? Sorry for all the questions this will be my first year going! Also, can you get a refund in your ticket if you can't go? There is a chance I will be moving out of SoCal which would greatly complicate things and I'm not exactly in a place where I can throw away that ticket money if I can't go. Maybe I should wait to get tickets until it gets closer? I'm sure many if theses things are online and I'll be surrounding look them up tonight, just getting excited! I'm worried about things selling out since ComicCon sells out so fast!

There's a big group of European traders coming over for it! Me, Fireheadfred, ginger_nutty, snoffsis, jennisney, mickeymoujse and a few others!

I'm going with my boyfriend as well :) Would also love to get a Sorcerers package, anyone have any tips for booking the tickets? It just says "on D23Expo.com" but that redirects to the general overview. Will they become available on the page that the ticket prices are listed at right now? Thanks!

I logged in at exactly 10am and the sorcerer's package was already sold out ... is that actually accurate? Or do they throttle it and slowly get people from the wait list to pay?

I got on at exactly 10am as well, and it said it was sold out. But on my FB, someone made a post at 9:25 am saying they just bought the Sorcerers package... How did they manage that? :sigh:
Oh well, I got my 3 day pass, so Im super happy. I just dont understand how people were able to buy those passes early, and then the people who waited until the time the tickets went on sale, were not able to get the package if they wanted it :/

I didnt even look at Sorcs package. WAAAY too pricey for us (3), not to mention totally sold out. Just got tickets though for normal - see you all there!

This is is not true the link to the page wasn't even available until 9:59am and even if you did click on it it said it was not active yet. It only went live from 10am.

I was on right on at 10am and managed to get the tickets. My confirmation email came through at 10:03am.

Lol sorry I wasn't implying that you were at fault I was directing that at the person in the original post you were referring to and letting you know that they were lying. Sorry to hear you couldn't get the sorcerer tickets but at least you have tickets to the event.

:hs: Its all good XD I still dont understand the post they made, but, Im just happy I got my tickets. Wish I had $2000.. I would have LOVED to get a Sorcerer pass. You are lucky ;)

We should all find a hotel and negotiate a rate. one with meeting space for a D23 Pin Trading Event. My previous life was working in hotels before my current stint in the Government IT sector. If there is interest in rooms - I can make all the arrangements.

I'm going for the very first time this year! I'm planning on buying the three day ticket, and look forward to dressing up. Honestly, I don't know much about the expo - the only convention I've ever been to before this was the San Diego Comic Con about five years ago. I probably won't have much money at all to spend on merchandise, but I look forward to meeting new people and taking lots of pictures. :)

If the regular tickets selling out isn't an issue, I'll wait a few months to get my ticket. I'll probably wind up getting a three day pass just in case I can get the day off of work or decide to come in after work. Congrats to those who were able to snag a sorcerer ticket!

I'd be interested in sharing a room. When I stay in Anaheim overnight I usually stay at Motel 6. It's within walking distance of the parks and convention center (and across from the Pumbaa lot in case you just want to take the parking shuttle over), but far enough away where the prices are still reasonable. They don't have much meeting space though, AFAIK.

I'm also looking forward to dressing up. It'll give me another chance to break out my Robin Hood outfit. :) I really really hope there's going to be a Wander over Yonder panel. I missed the ones at last years D23 and this years Comic Con, and am dying to see Jack and April interact in person.
