So David and I put together the 2nd massive trade in a short span of time, and he realizes shortly after that he doesn't have one of the pins he offered me (he's getting old -- what can ya do?)... so he gave me an option - pick one, or let me pick one for you... I trust David (Maybe I should make a poll as to whether that's bad judgment or not...) and so I let him pick... and he sent me something that way WAY exceeded the pin I originally traded for...

This is what I originally wanted:

and this is what David decided to replace it with:

PS - Although this isn't my first PODM, it is my first PODM of one of my collections!! Thank you so much David!! It's awesome!! Now to figure out how to put it in a place with a lit background!!

So if anybody was not able to read my sarcasm with my opening statement, then please realize now that I am of course kidding!!! :lol: Alex my friend, I try so hard to make sure I have what I say I do. It really upsets me when I have to make an email that says "ooppps" As some of you may know (fortunately not that many) I always try to make the trade better when I screw up. I never want unhappy trade partners. When you live in Seattle (southern Alaska) you can not afford to people not want to trade with you. It is the only way to feed my addiction. :anxious: I am glad you like it!!!

Oh man, I wish I could say it hasn't happened to me... You surely came through making it better... in fact, that's an understatement, so thank you!! And you know fine and well I would not hold it against you -- we're all human.. well, some of us...!! :bowdown:

Yeah, I have been giving this a LOT of thought, myself (since I have a wee bitty PoDM collection starting up, myself - Uhhh I mean MY WIFE has a wee bitty... You know.) - Also, my wife collects Swarovski Crystal figurines, and THOSE really benefit from lighting...

I bought some modular furniture pieces from Ikea, and mounted LED "spotlights" on the tops of the shelves. The lights shine down from above, BUT - if you set an angled mirror down behind a crystal figurine (or a PoDM pin in a stand holding it vertically....) - the light can be redirected to shine FORWARD through the target object...

Let me know if this makes no sense whatsoever, and I will send some pictures of what I am talking about. Of course, this may make PERFECT sense, in which case... Bingo! :lol:

I also hope the redirected light is less intense than direct light and LED light is less intense than incandescent light, so hopefully it reduces (or eliminates) the chance of light damage to my PoDMs.

Sure, I am happy to make a mistake with you. :lol: No you are not kidding about seeing more oopps from me lately, it is true!!! Not sure if I have too much going on or if I am just getting old. Probably both. :rofl:
 
Aw, when all else fails, always trust David! :D Super congratulations on the great new addition to your toy story collection, and David's awesomeness really does know no limits!! :hsd:
