Hello,

I am new to the forum and am excited to see, trade, buy and learn more about all things Disney Pin related and more. In 2005, my wife and I were able to take part in a Disney Pin Pursuit on property to collect 9 christmas pins (all chartacters where in holiday stockings). It was a lot of fun. We needed up having to visit different resorts and parks I believe at the time. We are going to be going to WDW in December and were wondering if Disney still has these pin hunts or something similar?

Haven't heard anything recently. A DL or WDW frequenter will have more accurate information.
 
I don't think they've done a formal pin pursuit the way they used to (where sometimes you got a pin as a reward for collecting a whole set) in many years. There are plenty of pin series though that you can try to collect just for the fun of it. And they do still have the yearly WDW holiday resort pins if you're looking for that series in particular. For example, last year's looked like this with a different character for each resort:
