Before I got my designer set, I thought my favorite would be Rapunzel and Snow White, but after looking at them in person, Tiana and Jasmine are my favorite because of the iridescent-like-glitter. The same iridescent glitter is in Aurora and Mulan but they don't sparkle as much. Ariel is too busy with the ruffles, the sparkles don't show as much.... Anyway.....

I am confused. What is the significance of the mirror for Rapunzel? Through out the movie, I would never think of the mirror as a prop for Rapunzel, pascal, pan, paintbrush or even lantern maybe but mirror?

Can someone let me know why the mirror?

thanks :wiggle:

We were wondering about the mirror in some previous posts. It should have gone to Belle. But the rose is significant for Belle too.
I wish Rapunzel had a little Pascal in her hand as Tiana has Naveen.

Though it's not visible on the pin or the sketch, with the Rapunzel Designer Doll, it's very obvious that Disney took Rapunzel's hair brush and transformed it into a mirror. I assume it was to make the item look more chic than a hair brush (though if one has 70 feet of hair, a brush is totally a necessity!). The design on the back of the mirror matches Rapunzel's hair brush perfectly (I cross referenced the film; The Art of Tangled; and the original DS Rapunzel doll [that came with paint brush, Pascal, and hair brush], as well as the 2011 LE 17" Rapunzel and Mother Gothel dolls).

Sadly, as desired and highly sought-after as the Designer Rapunzel pin is, I was also kind of disappointed with her when I got mine. She unfortunately looks very washed out and pale. The Designer mug also shares this unfortunate fate. In sum, for Designer Rapunzel, her sketch art and her doll are breathtakingly fabulous, but the mug and pin... not so much.

I much prefer my Designer Snow White items. The pin, in particular is nice, because the embedded glitter matches the colors of her garments (red, blue, and gold), which contribute to making her look more vibrant.

I was talking about the doll. But I guess the post goes for both.
Although, Pascal would have been funny looking in the pin like poor little buggy eyed Naveen.

I can imagine it to be a brush with the bristles on the side I can't see. Now it makes more sense to me and I feel better about the pin

I don't collect Tiana but I really love her sparkling dress, frog and all. So glad I got the set. They fit so well together

thanks!

I stand by my opinion that it should have been a frying pan she held. Maybe the mirror has to do with when she looks in the mirror and sees herself in the crown, and then later she realizes she's the princess when she looks in the mirror. I don't know. I don't have the pin (I REALLY want it), but I have the doll and I think she is absolutely stunning.

I believe the mirror which she uses to see herself wearing her crown was a floor length mirror, not a hand held. Love the frying pan, I guess I can imagine it to be a fancy pan

the mirrior should have gone to either belle or mulan(song:Reflection)(I would have been ok with that but why Rapunzel?I guess what bwaygal said makes sence but toatally agree with her FRYING PAN!
but I guess also the mirrior could have been for this scene (but that dose'nt make scence) I don't know

Well, isn't the point of the Designer Princess that they are modern and dressed in designer gowns for maybe an event or something? A frying pan would be kind of strange no?

Trying to make sense of the fancy round thing with a handle in her hand and what it could be other than a mirror. I wish Belle was holding it, and have Rapunzel holding the "magic golden flower" but that fancy round thing looks nothing like a flower

Honestly these are all good ideas for the Rapunzel pin. Why didn't they think of that? The flower is my favorite. That flower is so pretty and in only one of the pins I think. Even a frying pan would have been amazing. I'm sure that bit of comedy would have made her ever more desirable though. Haha like she's not pricey enough. They need to employ you girls to do the designing of the pins.
