Okay, I thought $500 would be the max someone would put it up for on the bay, but I see two sets - one for $850 OBO and one for $999.99 (with $1500 BIN)!..

what?!

I kind of expect the prices to start coming down after Christmas. The current frenzy over the dolls and other merchandise is keeping it high, and then for gifts. I also think it will drop after Christmas, because I won't get my set until March (my friend that has it for me, is going to WDW in March and bringing it to my parents, and then my Mom will send it to me). And it will be my luck, that by the time I get it no one will want them anymore (or at least not enough to get the pins I might want for them, if I decide to break it up).

It does not match the cost of each pin and the sum individually. Is not the Rapunzel the Grail of the set around $130?

I had a Rapunzel last night and only used it for a Grail of mine. Let's see if it can get me the pin I showed it for? Well see.

One Rapunzel sold for $172. A Snow White sold for $105. Belle $85. Most of the rest for $40-$60

If you do decide you want to sell it next year, I may be willing to buy it :)

I feel sorry for the people overpaying for these pins. When the prices drop down (and they will - just look at the Alice Mystery pins) they will be left holding the bag. I hope they bought them to keep and enjoy because they will never recoop those prices. I started collecting the dolls and after Mulan sold out I saw so many of them on the bay for very high prices. And guess what - they are still on there. I'm hoping that Snow White comes out tonight. I'm going to try to get up at 3AM so I can get one and hopefully it won't be for naught.

I won't be selling a complete set. Either I'll be keeping the whole thing myself. Or I will be breaking it up to trade for my grails (keeping Belle, Mulan to my Mom and maybe Tiana too). If I don't think I can get the pins I want, then I'll just keep it altogether.

WOW!!! Yesterday, one set sold for $760 at auction, but to top that another sold BIN for $1000. Double WOW!!!

Well the original set was ~$215 (with tax) so sets sellinng for ~$750 to ~$1000 are ~3x to ~5x
the Designer Princess dolls are ~$65 and are selling for ~$200 to ~$300 which are also ~3x to ~5x

everything is relative :sigh:

as long as these pins stay in such of high demand people will pay high prices for them. will they drop on pricess, we'll just have to see, u never know. and some pins out there are a perfect example. the mystery conceal rapunzel was on sell for $30 when they just came out, then went up to $50 BIN and people were like "i'll just wait till it goes down", well then it hit the $100 and now if you find it for sale u will not find it for less than $150, so you just never know, these pins are indeed very original and whoever collect any of these princesses must have them, for example, i don't collect princesses but i don't hate princesses either so i think this set is so pretty and original to go on my wants and as long as there is people like me that are willing to trade good for them then the price will not drop, or it might drop, we'll just have to see.

all i have to say, is you never know what a pin's value can rise to be, again, perfect example the rapunzel mystery conceal. :)

errrr cant say that i helped with the prices here, :ugh: .. . . . . . . . i bought the set you mentioned at $760! he wanted more for it and that was the lowest i could get him down to !! even though i think that is a bit high, you got what you wanted, and i am sure u will love them. :)

enjoy your pins and if you ever decided to trade them make sure you get your money for it. :)
enjoy your great new set. :)

with some of the pins selling for over $100 and Rapunzel close to $200 - $760 isn't so bad that when you consider that's $76 per pin
