Dual Auction with a Duel Action at the same time...

What is it and what does this mean…

Well it simply means the auction just doubled in size… Now instead of an auction for one full set of Designer Villains, you are now bidding on two separate sets at the same time!!!!!

This may get a bit confusing, so be sure to read all the information provided to fully understand how this will work…

To Begin… There will now be two auctioneers… The Grim and The Goon… We are each going to auction off our own sets of Designer Villains Pins… That’s right your chances just doubled of winning your dream pins…

This is how it will work…

The two auctioneers are going to be having a duel as to which bids they are claiming as theirs…

As a bid is placed it will be up to one of the two auctioneers to claim the bid as theirs… They will then have 30 minutes to modify and re-post their leader board to include the claimed bid…

If they fail to complete the claim within 30 minutes, the other auctioneer may steal the bid as their own…

The auctioneers may have only one leader for each of the 8 bid option slots…

The auctioneer may only claim up to 3 bids without an update to their leaders being posted for all to see…

Once a bidder is replaced by another bid, they are free game to be accepted by the other auctioneer…

There is no limit as to how many times you may bid, but if a bidder is listed in one of the two leader boards, their bid is locked and may not be retracted or changed…

Our leader boards will look the same… Perhaps something very simple as this…

Grim’s Leader Board…

Whole Set – Member Name 1

Co-op Evil Queen - Member Name 2

Co-op Queen of Hearts - Member Name 3

Co-op Mother Gothel - Member Name 4

Co-op Cruella - Member Name 5

Co-op Ursula- Member Name 6

Co-op Maleficent - Member Name 7

Co-op Box and Cert. - Member Name 8

Leading Bid - Whole Set/Co-op

But we will keep them the same to avoid confusion…

I am sure there will be many questions as to how all this will work, but please bring them up now prior to the start of this epic auction…

Hmm. Interesting and also a bit confusing my friend! Does the auction need be so complicated? hahaha.

So what if the best bid is the person who bid for the whole set? The co-ops are kind of useless than right? of course, im just assuming that the person(s) bidding towards the entire set will be bidding THE BEST pins because the set as whole is amazing! Just a thought

Thanks again guys for the auction

Well it will be up to the indinidual auctioneer to make the decision if their set will go to their whole set leader or to the leaders in the co-op version... If that makes sense... But keep in mind the person bidding on the full set is competing against up to 7 different members who can all boost up the side of the co-op bid...

GOT IT! Thanks Moe! Can't wait!!

Keep in mind now... this also opens up the realm of bids beyond just those of PoDM's, so more members can have a shot of winning these pins...

Yes you may... you may bid on any combination of options as long as the bidded items are not duplicated... You may also place a bid of a single item for more than one pin if you feel it is worthy... It is up to the auctioneer to determine if your bid is good enough to make it onto their leader board... You may also place more than one bid on the same pin for a chance to get onto both co-op leader boards... I hope this answers your question...

Can the same person place a bid on different villains in the set? For example, can I place one bid but for 2 of the 6 villains?

So if the auction views record is broken does Moe only get credit for half a record?

Haha, j/k. I wish you guys good luck with this auction, it will be very fun to watch.

Grim, its time for u to update your wants! :0)

Ack... you're right... I'll get on that.

But let it be known.... I don't collect PODM!! So bid everything else you have, haha. Specifically I'll be looking for:
Marquees (All -- even if I already have them)
BTs
110th Legacy
Sorcerer Hats
Other Wants
and Good Traders

I'll try updating the wants list shortly

Good point... our leader sheets will have the 8 option leaders followed by the overall leader... I will edit the above post to reflect this...

If say I am top bidder for one of the villains in the co-op, how will I know if the co-op or the whole set bid is winning?

Here's hoping I am a top bidder for one that is xD

Will it mention if the Whole set bid is winning/loosing against the coop?

Say someone has pins for the set and offer an "or" bid, can someone be winning both sets at the same time? :eek2:

as mentioned once the bid is on the leader board it is locked and cant be changed? Only added to and is the other person likes the new addition, can steal the bid to their leader board or the bid is stuck on the 1st leader board chosen.

I believe this is answered above...

Hmmm....this is interesting. I may bite, but I'm going to make a promise to myself not to allow the actual cost I paid for any of the pins I bid exceed the actual cost I would have paid for the set had I been able to get it myself. That will probably knock me out of the running but the only way I'd still be able to enjoy the set if I were to win it.

so what you are saying is you need to put your best bid in at first because you can not add to your bid is this what i am understanding
