:soapbox:

Just when you think you've seen or heard everything about the new company handling packages for Disney Shopping online, they manage to come up with something new.

I opened my door to go out for a little Christmas cheer and :eek2: there right in front of my door was this HUGE box :eek2:. But what was inside the box you ask. Well, I just recieved 2 beautiful Fantasia piece of the movie pins today. And to make sure they arrived safe and sound, Disney Shopping spared no expense. I got a pair of 2.5 inch pins inside a  2 x 3 FOOT box stuffed to the gills with bubble air cells. You got it right, a 4 ounces of pins inside a 2 foot by 3 foot by 1 foot box filled to overflowing with air cells. A box that alone must weight well over 10x the weight of the pins.

But at least I got my moneys worth on the free shipping for this order.

When I worked in a warehouse for an online retailer, we would sometime send out packages with boxes waaaaay to big for the item. We'd fill it with fill pack, and send it on its way. It was a way to kill our boredom. Looks like some shippers over at the new warehouse were having some fun!

At least you didn't have to pay for the shipping. LOL. And at least it was padded; I shudder to think of the condition those pins could have arrived in had the box not been so thoroughly padded, especially the movie cel part.

Oh, and congrats on getting beautiful scenes; any chance of posting pictures of your pins at a future date?

I also received a box wayyyyy bigger than my 3 Legacy pins required. My boyfriend has been "concerned" about my pin buying. When he saw the box, he said "How many pins?" I had to open it and show him.

But now he's using the box for something else so it's all good.

I received the SAME package!!! Only difference is I had four pins in the box... At least all four arrived. I don't know what happened to the smaller 8x8x8 boxes they used to use. Maybe they ran out lol.

 I can relate ! I ordered a Prince Eric doll from DS. com for a friend in the UK . Three days later, I had this massive box on my porch . I was like, what the devil, I opened it to find loads of air bubble filler . The best part was getting to Prince Eric, to find a Cars 2 ( matchbox size ) fire truck . I called them immediately and told the CM politely, I was not paying to ship it back . I was told to donate it to charity and they sent me out Prince Eric in a much smaller box . I gave the little fire truck to Toys For Tots !

At least you guys got air bubble packing in your packages. I got one pin in a large box with no wrapping, no air bubbles, no nothing. I was lucky the pin arrived safely. Disney has just gone over the edge on this. They need to move back to the old warehouse or at least go back to the old way of packaging things. Someone should tell them to read our website to learn what is really going on in the world.

If I can persuade my scanner to cooperate, sure. But at the moment I have a huge box to deal with and Xmas presents to wrap.

On Fantasia POTM #1 I have Mickey facing to the right with his arm extended commanding the waves

On Fantasia POTM #2 I have Mickey facing forward, arms reaching down to scoop up the water

Once I get my scanner and Windows 7 to cooperate, I'll try and post scans.

At least they arrived safely. haha

What scenes did you get?
