Question for all you that have been there before, i noticed in a previous post that a member mentioned the location has some open stock pins, my wife wanted to go this weekend to see the place, and for a drive (not going saturday, after seeing the WIR release) but i was wondering if the selection of pins to purchase is worth making the drive for, or are they pins you can find at the park and downtown disney? Thanks, for any help or info you might be able to provide.

They have open edition / open rack pins that are "themed" toward the store (e.g. a character holding an ice cream cone or wearing the Soda Fountain apron), which aren't available online or at the parks. You can, however, order open edition pins from them through the phone, and they will charge postage/shipping to mail them to you.

Ok great, thank you so much for that information.. Ive been looking for the Russell popcorn pin, (hope they still have it) i will look into that, thank you so much

you should go to the store! its fun, you can pick up whatever is the current PTD, and grab those rack pins. yeah, they are just rack pins, but they trade/sell better than typical park rack pins.

I think you would enjoy going. Lots of crazy sights on Hollywood Blvd. The pins on the rack will be good traders for you. Get a PTD while you are there.

FYI - $2 parking with validation at the Hollywood & Highland shopping center. The parking garage is underground; there are only two entrances: on the NORTH side off of Highland or on the WEST side off of Orange. Of course, you can always take the Metro Red Line and get off at the Hollywood/Highland station.

There were plenty of the Russell pins as of last Sunday.

Are PTDs always available? I'm wondering if I missed an opportunity when I went there for the first time about a year ago and bought a bunch of open rack pins and sat down and ate food but did not know about PTDs at all. Although I've been collecting pins off and on since early 2000's, I really never knew about DSF until I joined DPF. Really learning a lot here. *feeling like a neophyte*
