That's a really good point! Since they're both in the same 'scene' and they're posed to look at each other, they look much more like they're interacting despite the separate boxes. The other couples didn't have that. Makes for a great display for non-deboxers.
 
Damn, I completely forgot Belle was out on 20th. Bit disappointed, as I'd rather that over the Set. I may try for the set, but after already getting the Aladdin x Jasmine one, so much space...and money.
 
Is there anyone in the UK who would possibly be willing to help me get the platinum set? I'd be willing to pay a buyers fee and everything else. TIA
 
yeah, people who orderd her after me got their doll, disney just picks random people. you get one, you don't. every time I want a doll I got one from the release date, and now my favorite movie. none. I can't deal with this stress every time it's not fun anymore. maybe I stop collecting or something. :l
 

You can still get from Disney store Europe online next week, right?

Yes they gave me an E-gift card for $85. I am totally cool with that considering I will be purchasing the remaining two Designer sets and can use the gift card towards one of those.

My Platinum set has not shipped yet nor have I received a cancellation notice. I ordered at 12:29:23 AM (Pacific Time).
 
How certain are we that Disney is going to release a LE doll for Moana? I know they released dolls for Tiana and Jasmine, but up until this point, they are the only POC princesses who got the 17" treatment. And there's all ready controversy surrounding the merchandise for this film (Maui's costume was pulled from the shelves because of the color of the body suit). I'm seriously starting to doubt the existence of this doll. If, however, she does exist, I don't think we can expect to see her until after the film's theatrical release.

So, the Disney Store website took off the description of the dolls and the link (for the Platinum Set) fairly quickly. I got these from eBay (the description looks like what I remembered it saying):

The usual doll sources confirmed that we are getting a Moana doll. Disney always does a new princess LE doll to line up with the release of a new princess film. Where she is a new princess, I highly doubt her being a POC will affect Disney's paln to release an LE doll of her, especially considering that its a brand new animated film that they are heavily marketing. They are also trying to be an inclusive as possible.

Also, the body suit and the Maui tattoo t-shirts were the only controversial pieces of merchandise for the film (basically anything resembling Maui's skin as a type of clothing/costume). Everything else is doing well and excitement for the film hasn't really changed. So I wouldn't worry too much about this.
