Disney Store Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion - 2017

I was able to get her at my Disney Store last night! There were only two left! When I went for the first Moana around the same time of day there were 6 left so this one seems Moore popular. I hope all who want her manage to get her she is gorgeous the colors really pop. Now come on Disney Show us Belle!
 
Classic/singing/mini animator all have 'clean' feet - the full sized toddler doll is the only other one with sand.
 
Staykawaii, l've also reached that stage of collecting where I only buy things that I will use and truly enjoy. It's common for collectors to eventually run out of money and/or space. Having too much stuff can be overwhelming and stressful. I'm moving soon, and I've been selling and giving away items that I purchased on impulse. Sometimes less is more.

I wish Disney would make LE dolls of Pocahontas, Esmeralda, Vanessa and King Triton. I agree that a second Ariel would also be great. I love Ariel, but I couldn't bring myself to like the tail design on the first doll. Ariel is very popular, so we'll probably get a second doll someday.
 
I like this one more than the first, but I'm still not sold.

Sigh. If only we could get Mulan/Megara/Esmeralda LEs... Pocahontas too, never been too into that movie but I know it has its fans. Instead of multiple versions of the same characters...
 
I love the new LE Moana's face She's so cute! I won't be getting her (at least not anytime soon...) because I don't have the money, but she sure is pretty. I hope everyone that wants her manages to get her

I love a LE Mulan as well same goes for Pocahontas. I mean it seems that Mulan may get a LA LE when her live action film comes out but maybe leading up to that we will see the original animated Mulan LE. One can only hope. Now the wait is on to see the LA LE Belle doll. Come on Disney announce her already!
 
I wasn't going to buy this Moana because I already had the other LE which she has more of a spirited expression and is wearing the outfit she wears throughout 99% of the movie, so I preferred the original, didn't need another....

Then I saw all those pretty RED leaf details and opalescent beading...yes, I had to get Chief Moana also!

I am personally going to call the first and second Moana LEs:

I like it the Platnium set but SO not worth the expensive price tag. Guess I'm passing on these. Too bad. It's my favorite Disney movie. I just don't like them at all.
 
Well I am going to be in the minority(already was with liking the film Collection Doll of Belle) but I really like them. I think Belle is really pretty and just like the film collection doll does look like Emma Watson. It seems they have lowered the hairline so the forehead is not as massive(my major problem with the film collection doll) I also really like the Belle in the platinum set but I am sure the price is going to be insane as it usually is. I will be lining up outside my local Disney Store next Friday to see if I can get her. Good luck to those

I think they are pretty and Belle looks better then her 11 inch version(and just I love the celebration dress) but they are too expensive for me.
Maybe it's the size and the little details can be seen better?
 
Im continually getting more hyped for this movie, and I can't wait to see it... But I'm still not a very big fan of Belle's dress. I think it's pretty but I just don't think it's as spectacular as her cartoon version. I liked Cinderellas dress even though it was different from her cartoon version but this one my mind refuses to love. Maybe it's cause I hate yellow, haha like I said I like it I just don't lose my breath like Cinderellas made me.

The dress obviously being the selling point of this doll is the main reason I'll pass but I also think the doll resembles Carrie Fisher (I wish they'd make more Leia) more than Emma. I always pass on the platinums because I've yet to see a doll worth the price tag but I do have to agree this set is disappointing. Adam is a huge let down compared to his cartoon, this doll looks more like Paul Giamatti... And belles dress again while I'm sure stunning in person looks like Cinderellas wedding gown but not as spectacular. Almost makes me think of Mary Poppins...

I wish they'd done her town outfit as I really like the look of that, but quite honestly I'd probably pass on that as I've been hard to sell lately when it comes to LE dolls. I bought the target exclusive Belle of her in her red winter outfit and it's quickly become a favorite. I think I'll also pick up hasbro's version of her town outfit as theyve got a more flattering face and price than the Disney stores.
 
Oh wow! I love them...especially the Platinum Set! However, I definitely won't be able to afford them:sad:. I wish Disney would make a gift set (like they did for Cinderella) and give us a 12" Prince. But I'm worried the chances for that are unlikely since they didn't release a Prince with the other Film Collection dolls?

Is it possible that the yellow dress Belle has a better mold than the platinum Belle? Eh, maybe it's just the hair that's throwing it off, since it's got to be the exact same mold. Ah, well. I don't go for the Platinum sets anyway, so it really makes no difference. I will be trying my luck for yellow dress Belle. Gotta try to work out the timing, though, seeing as I've also all ready got my tickets to see the film that afternoon, as well.
 
Not sure if you'd be interested but Toysrus has an exclusive set that's very similar to the platinum set. it's hasbro though so not quite the same quality or likeness as Disney store but still very nice for what they are, not sure if full 12" though, hasbro tends to make their dolls shorter than Mattel...
