Elphaba, I think washing the garment or soaking it should get rid of the glue. I'm not sure what kind you used and what material you used it on. Is the fabric hard now or just stained? Maybe you can cover it with gems or some other kind of embelishment.

But, yes, you need to use rhinestone glue. Even you didn't have that mishap, the gem probably wouldn't stick anyway. Rhinestone glue cures overnight. I'd need to cut the rhinestones off the box at this point, but when it's still wet, you can manoever it a little to get it where you want it (and it dries clear on MOST fabrics if you put it in the wrong spot at first try).

I have tons of loose Swarovski crystals that I used to use for jewelry, so I might end up copying you

Now THAT would look amazing! Their crystals are so beautiful... but expensive! So if you have enough to spare, I would for sure use them on the Cinderella box. It's just screaming to be glammed up. Once I get my A/B crystals, I may add a few more to the box.

So I am incredibly late to the delivery party, but my Anna arrived today!! She is indeed Anna (thank goodness) and has no damage save one tiny crease on the front of the box, which is not noticeable for the most part and doesn't bother me enough to phone Guest Services. After just reading about the difficulty with the plastic covers on the whole set I was a little worried about taking it off (I don't debox but I really wanted to feel all the different fabrics), but for me at least it came off just as easily as my Sleeping Beauty dolls. I'm really happy and grateful that the UPS fiasco with the weather had a happy ending, but looking back on it now I guess Anna's had some experiences with blizzards back in Arendelle and was probably fine all along, lol.

So it looks like we have to wait until March 2017 for BATB.

Majorly bummed about that; I was really hoping it would be out in spring or summer next year. But I suppose it is a good thing; Disney's merchandise department has probably been hectic with all the Cinderella merchandise and I'm sure wants a break for a while, and it also gives Cinderella (which I saw on Saturday and absolutely love) some time in the spotlight before the rumor mill with BATB takes over. And my wallet would certainly love an extra year before all the merchandise for it comes out (I might just be able to splurge on the next $500 doll if it is to my liking).

Just out of curiosity, am I the only one who's a little worried about Emma Watson as Belle? I loved her in Harry Potter, but I just can't picture her as Belle the same way I could Lily James as Cinderella. Maybe I just need to see some promo pictures or clips and then I'll be fully confident, but I'm just not sure about that decision just yet. I AM excited about Dan Stevens playing The Beast though, and of course, there will be Josh Gad as Le Fou! I have been overjoyed to hear that Olaf got cast ever since Disney announced it, and now I can't picture the character being played by anyone else.

i am too. when they cast emma watson, i was like... i don't really enjoy watching her on screen. :c but hey, could be very wrong. she might knock this out of the park.

k, so we got:

emma watson as belle
luke evans as gaston
dan stevens as beast
josh gad as lefou
kevin kline as maurice, the father
emma thompson is mrs. potts

directed by bill condon (who did dreamgirls and... twilight breaking dawn)
music by alan menken (who did music for the original)

I'm one another one with an Elsa cover that is a nightmare to get on and off. It came off once and never again! Thankfully she has a number I can remember, 555. It was hard to even get her out of the shipper. I had to open both ends so I could push it out. Kristoff's cover was a little snug and unpleasant to deal with, but not much more noticeably than others. I was, however, surprised at how easy Anna was. She was the third one I opened and having to open the shippers on the others at both ends I expected to do the same with her, but when I tilted the shipper to open the bottom her box slid right out. Then I was shocked at how easy it was to get the cover off to check the COA and put it back on. It was the easiest one I've ever done. I thought it was defective. I wish they all were like that. Elsa's was the worst one to date.

I can't wait for BATB and was so excited when I heard Emma Watson was going to be in it. She's perfect for it. I too thought it was next year and got excited thinking they'd do one a year. I guess it make sense. There's got to be a lot of cg to make the beast look real and Disney is always good at the attention to detail. I hope it's not too much of a musical. Some music, okay, but 50% or more music and my eyes glaze over. So, it will include re-recordings of the original songs plus a few ones. That's not good news to me. That's not how I was thinking it was going to be. I'll still rush out to see it though. I liked the original score, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

there is a movie called "la belle et la bête" (2014). it's french but with subtitles. the film is gorgeous. i highly recommend it while waiting for the release of disney's version, since it's gonna be quite a wait.

Finally, my Purple Elsa is otw! Now I'm hoping she will arrive undamaged and perfect in every way. I've heard of broken packing boxes, dented LE box corners, messed up plastic covers and even saw where that one girl's Elsa had a mark on her face. :anxious: Ooooo, I hope that isn't the case. Is that selfish? Has anyone else on this feed had issues with their Frozen dolls?

I watched it a few months ago and found it enjoyable. It also gave me an opportunity to see just how much French I've forgotten since my high school/college years .

Back in the day there was a live action BATB show, on TV I think, but maybe it was a movie...Anyhoo, I hardly remember it, but I do remember the Beast looked terrible! He was a man with the worst costume and makeup ever! He looked like a cousin to Stephen King's cat people or something. He had this strange muzzle looking thing on and gross stringy hair all over the place. Am I the only one who remembers this? Anyone? Anyone?

Not selfish at all for you are only human like the rest of us. My boxes have the typical minor (i.e. hairline creases) on the edges but it's only something that could be detected either in zoomed photos or from an up-close viewing distance. Variations here and there only add to the uniqueness of your individual dolls. Cherish them!

Are you talking about Beauty and the Beast series from the '80's, with Linda Hamilton? I was a kid when it was on in Primetime.

Quasimodo Yes, the glue stains are stiff and I'm pretty sure the dress is polyester. I haven't actually tried washing it yet because the rhinestones this dress came with fall off easily (I was gluing some on where they were missing), but I'd sure rather have the stains removed and then use the right glue (that you mentioned before) to stick 'em all back on. I will be washing tonight. Thanks for your help!

rabbitunderground oooh pretty! Looks a lot better than the only non-Disney BATB I've seen: a 1987 live action version, heavy on cheese. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beauty_and_the_Beast_(1987_film)

Maybe...I think it was the 80s, gosh, was that Linda Hamilton ? Was she Belle? Maybe I should google it...

There was a 1980s series with Linda Hamilton, who portrayed a Deputy (or Assistant) DA (I think). There is a new CW series with Kristen Kreuk (Lana Lang from Smallville), who portrays a similar role, but now a police officer.

I'm seeing some reports that it'll be based on the Broadway musical. I hope that means that Lumiere/Cogswoth/Potts/etc will look more human and not be cg characters running around, but I'm still a little worried about how that all will translate. Not to mention only a couple of the leads announced so far have demonstrated singing talent.

im sure they are much sparkler in the right lighting! I'll be sure to take up on that offer and pm-ing you for more information! I've only bedazzled a phone case for my mother in law in the past so I don't know if the glue I have will work. I know different materials will require different glue. Also would love to know what size rhinestones you used.

I wish I had money so I could buy cinderella! It sucks not having money, and it sucks even more when you see something you like and you really want!

As sad as this may sound to people who don't get the whole doll collecting business, the first thing i want to buy if I win the lottery is that Harrods frozen set. My husband laughs at me but that's seriously a dream.

It would be Snow Queen Elsa for me, but I couldn't justify prices for dolls in 4 digits unless our household income was in 7 or more digits, lol, which is never gonna happen. I'm content enough admiring her from afar though, I am super-pleased with my Regal Elsa

im the same way. If I could I would buy Snow White or elsa, but my mother doesn't think a doll that price is worth it. Even paying for a Le doll at retail isn't worth it to her.

My mom thinks the same thing. Then I show her, look, the value has increased and she says sell and I say no.
