DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
This is just crazy! I've also seen a picture of a severely damaged package on Facebook, so bad that it actually DID damage Ball Gown Cinderella's box and might have even affected the doll, from the sounds of it. Granted, this was probably more UPS' fault than Disney's, but there's still no excuse for all these mishaps.

Quick shot of my girl. I love her so much. More shots can be found on my Tumblr for anyone who is interested. :)

Wow, beautiful pictures! Congrats to everyone getting their dolls!! That's so awful about the luggage thing though, wow...I would be so upset. $500 and not even what you ordered? :anxious:

Blue Cindy arrived yesterday and I'm in love with her. My new favorite doll! Only problem is a very noticeable scratch on the plastic cover. The scratch is on the inside of the cover so obviously a production error. Anyone else have this issue?I'm so frustrated with the quality control on these dolls. Can't decide if it is worth contacting Disney store about or not.

Contact them and see if you can get a gift card for it.

There's some issues lately it seems? My Anna's box seems fairly pristine and the only issue is a rhinestone on the side hem of her skirt being out of alignment with the rest; but my Elsa's plastic has two decent-sized dings in it and one of the lines of trim on the front of her dress is not at all even with the one below it on one side, and the rhinestones down the front of her shirt aren't in a straight line. >_< You can't see the dings in this photo because it's a badly lit cellphone photo, but you can see the dress issues.

Argentine, your photo is beautiful! Better than any stock photo of her!

I refer to the most recent Elsa as 'Farewell Elsa' in my head...

And for anyone who would rather give their $$ directly to Disney than ebay for Blue Cindy, the Oxford St store in London had at least 30 yesterday, they are £100 which is about $140. Pretty sure they take phone orders but not sure on shipping cost. Can't hurt to ask I guess....

Yep disney must be having some issues bc I got villains luggage instead of my cinderella wedding doll too... There are a couple of other people on Facebook that have the same issue! so now we all have to email them and wait and see what they will do! :anxious: Very JEALOUS of those who got their doll... she looks gorgeous! I got my blue dress cinderella and love her glass slipper!!

Wow, I wonder if someone could have stolen these dolls at the packaging center, knowing how much they was already going for on eBay and put the luggage inside so the box would have weight. I hate to be suspicious like that, but it is the first thing I thought when I heard about this. Was the box marked as a doll or as luggage?

Also, I have noticed in the past that when Disney ships dolls they will have the name of the item, the fact that it is LE, and even the packaging slip with the cost of the item all very visible to anyone and everyone. It's surprising more don't go missing.

The jacket rhinestones on my Elsa aren't in alignment either. :( I noticed it the other day when I was putting up shelves for my new dolls.

A little late to the discussion, but I don’t care much for 'regal' Elsa myself. I personally think of her as prologue Elsa (which pairs somewhat nicely with epilogue Anna), which is accurate but more of a mouthful so I don't really expect either to catch on. That said, I'm surprised purple Elsa didn't stick - I swear people were calling her that before the release. Purple is definite and unique from other Elsas, whereas regal is a subjective judgment that I can guarantee will cause confusion with new collectors in the future.

That's my one and a half cents anyway. (When did dolls take over so much of my life I spend this much time thinking about what to call them lol)

As for the luggage though... I have no words. I've long thought Disney has appalling standards and practices regarding qc and shipping, but this is a staggering new low. Wow. My heart goes out to those in that situation and I hope this ends up being one of the times Disney actually get their act together enough to get everyone their dolls safe and sound.

Yes! I really wish all that info was not on the outside of the box! But I guess it makes more sense now that someone mentioned they come straight from production in those boxes and right back out without inspection.

It appears that it's standard practice for the supplier/manufacturer of Disney's LE line of dolls to apply the shipping label over the shipping box flaps so that half of it (address portion) extends down the side of the box. There is no evidence on any of the boxes I've seen thus far which suggests that the shipping boxes were opened from the time they left Hong Kong to the time of end-consumer delivery. The international shipping labels have always been uncut without any indications of removal. Therefore all QC errors and inspections processes would have occurred overseas.

If the shipping box arrives with a clear indication that it has been opened and resealed, but the correct doll was received, then all is fine.

Just wondering...for those who received luggage in place of the wedding doll, whether the international label listed the correct item, and whether there were any indications of the shipping box being cut open and resealed prior to delivery by UPS...hmmmmmmmmmm....

My Wedding Cinderella just arrived! She is absolutely beautiful!

She is truly gorgeous!!! Her box is pretty wide and shows off her large dress and veil. I also like the magnetic flaps on the box so you are able to close her up for extra protection. Her dress has quite a few layers...it took me a while just to find her feet! Her shoes are a plain white/ivory heel...I felt like the designers could have made them prettier by adding little butterflies like Blue Cinderella's glass slippers...but I don't de-box so I will never see them anyways.

The only flaw I can find is the right side of her plastic cover slightly curves in and won't lay flat (you can kind of make it out in my second picture). I can't really see it unless I'm looking for it...but now that I know it's there it is bothering me. :( Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Regardless of that minor flaw I really do love her and am truly thankful that I was able to get though on the website and purchase her. I have never been so undecided on LE dolls as I was with these Cinderella dolls, but they have changed my mind about collecting live-action dolls. Both Wedding and Blue Cinderella are really amazing dolls and are great additions to the LE 17" line. :)

Congratulations and thank you for posting the beautiful photos! I tried to get her last week, but was unsuccessful. Your photos help me appreciate her even more, thank you and I hope you enjoy her!!

Congrats on Coronation Anna! I know everyone wants Snow Queen Elsa, but personally I think Coronation Anna is the most beautiful of all of the Frozen dolls. She is actually in my top three favorites of the entire LE 17" line...every time I look at my dolls my eyes always go to her. :)

Totally agree with you. I love Anna'a coronation dress most among all Frozen dolls. Also, I would love to try to get a SQ Elsa someday in a reasonable price but not that hurry as getting coronation Anna.

I don't know how big this is... but here is a picture of the box... Does anyone know what the PO# stands for or how to look it up in relation to what item it should be... it looks like it got covered over with another number..

I believe that is the purchase order number for use internally between Disney park merchandise and their supplier. That's a pretty egregious error if they managed to ship you something from the theme parks. You need to request your $500 refund pronto or call to resolve the issue. I really hope that you will receive your wedding Cindy.

Wow, so it wasn't that it was LE doll boxes with luggage inside, they shipped the wrong boxes entirely. I would hope that means they still have the dolls that didn't get sent out-- unless someone somewhere ordered luggage and got a doll instead?! I hope they are able to resolve the issue and get your doll to you!

Like amm3 said, if people can see on ebay a doll is going for 2K, and all they have to do is grab something similar.....
I'd be curious to know the statistics for mishaps on limited edition doll release day vs. an average pick and pack day.

I am shocked! How could this be the LE Doll's box? Besides, they should at least check the production label against the packing slip. I doubt there should be far more things behind this.

Wow, luggage. That's... Man. That's just not right. I'll take some sloppy trim on my Elsa and actually having her over getting the wrong thing entirely. >_< Especially something as limited and as expensive as the wedding Cinderella! Ugh. I hope y'all get your actual dolls. :<

oh my god, luggage? seriously?

lol this is why i get paranoid buying things online. i would rather do it from the disney store if i can, although i am lucky i live close to two.

i hope everyone gets their doll(s). :c

tempted to start saving up for a wedding cinderella but i don't know if i am sold on her. i couldn't justify the 500$ price tag so i don't think i can a 1500$ either. that's like a ticket to paris. :c /conflicted

I didn't really rate Coronation Anna at first but like many of you, she's become more agreeable to me than SQ Elsa. I mean, I love SQ Elsa, but that giant braid is not doing it for me. I hold out hopes of FF Elsa then I can get one at a decent price

I feel the same. I really look forward to FF Elsa and hope they wouldn't make her D23 Exclusive.
