DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
Go to Fed Ex and get their 24" x 24" x 24" box for $10. Unless you want to buy a box of 10-25 from Staples (they only sell them in bundles online and I don't recall seeing them sold individually in the stores)
We sell boxes big enough to fit the 17" dolls individually at Staples. You don't need to buy them in bundles. I work for Staples. If your store doesnt' have a ship center, they might not have the boxes individually. We do sell 24x24x24 or 24x24x12 (don't remember off the top of my head) in store. They are around $5 I think.

That's nice to know. None of my local ones have boxes that large and I went to the closest three to my city. I don't recall if they had a shipping center though, just the copy center.

If they don't have a shipping center, chances are they won't have the bigger boxes. Not all the stores have shipping centers. I only think its around 500 that do and there are over 1,000 stores in the US alone.

I agreedisneysfreakingprincess. It's a lot to take in at once, after a big lull, and coinciding with D23 stuff, with designer dolls and 17" sets overlapping. (Not to mention Star Wars stuff for those who are into that). I wish they would have spread it out a bit more evenly.

November 3rd is going to be the worlds largest nightmare! We have Frozen Fever Elsa and Anna 17 in dolls being released. Troll Wedding Anna and Kristoff Designer set, Frozen Fever Tsum Tsum, Peter Pan Tsum set which has 10 characters, Inside Out Blu Ray/Dvd release. It is going to be such a scary day now with all the tsum tsum collectors trying to line up early too as well as the doll collectors! Get ready to camp out that day!

Frozen Fever Tsum Tsums on November 3rd too? I can't believe they want to release so much high-demand merchandise in one day!

And I meant to post this earlier, but what do you all think of Anna/Kristoff? I've never been a big fan of how highly DFDC dolls are priced in general, especially when they are usually less detailed than the 17'' dolls that are $10 less. But I do like the troll wedding idea and the D23 pictures looked really nice, so I am still thinking about them. :)

I've never been to a store on release day since I'd have to take off work and drive about an hour to get to my nearest store and the possibility of walking away with nothing after doing that made it seem not worth it. I decided I'd risk it for the Frozen dolls, though. Too many things can go wrong online. I forgot about it being a Tsum Tsum release day. Now, I'm not so sure I can handle it. I'm also trying to figure out which Disney store to go to. There are three really close to each other around the Tampa Bay area from which I have to pick. I honestly don't mind paying a reasonable mark up on Ebay to avoid all that, but I know the mark up on these dolls will not be at all reasonable.

I really love the Disney collectible dolls, but buying them is such an awful experience. Seriously, it takes so much fun out of the doll hobby. It wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't such a panic about never being able to afford them on the after market if you don't get them when they are released. I feel bad complaining about it since it's not like they are a necessity and I'm lucky to be able to buy the ones I can get, but still, I just have a knot in stomach about it and these are the only dolls I collect that make me fantasize about giving up the hobby all together every time one is released. There have been so many this year too, and so much disappointment with the low number LE's.

IMHO... I think they look slightly bland in the photos, but I find the dolls always to be much more impressive in person. I, too, really like the concept. I'm going to try to get the set as I still think they are unique and will fit well with my collection. I wouldn't choose them over the 17 " dolls, but I think they hold their own for what they are. I also don't really see them as being that overpriced. They are expensive, but from what I've seen of the DFDC dolls, the quality of the clothing is really good. I collect quite a few dolls in that price range from other makers, so that's what I use to base my opinion. I feel I've paid more and gotten less from other doll makers. Decent quality doll clothing alone can cost quite a bit, even 1/6 scale. From what I've seen,Disney doesn't skimp on the quality of the DFDC clothing, nor on the detail on the dolls. This set seems to be pretty well detailed. Also, being Disney, they will hold their retail value. I know a lot of those other dolls in that price range may not. They are popular now, but likely will not remain so, unlike Disney.

I completely agree. Every time I have purchased any non-Disney collectible doll, I can't help but notice how easy and stress-free it is compared to these dolls.

I think the Anna and kristoff set is kind of bland too! I think they should have put Anna in her coronation dress, and put kristoff in his normal outfit with applied fake snow, like how they first met in wanderin oakin's trading post.

Yeah, I actually feel excited when I hear of a new non-Disney release, and every time think how different it is with Disney.

I just hope Disney keeps the frozen fever dolls hush hush. I fear more publicity will make this worse. I just hope some scampers forget about them.

WHAT there are going to be Frozen Fever tsums as well on the third??? Oh my gosh…. It's going to be a nightmare. Well. While I'm there, I might as well get them, too. (if I can. All things considered, I'd be lucky to get the dolls alone.)

I REALLY want the set of Anna and Elsa… I love having both together. I feel like it would look incomplete without both on my shelf ;-; But I'm mostly desperate for Elsa. I've always regretted that I didn't get SQ Elsa, so I really want at the very least her FF version.

Damn I didn't realize that they were releasing these dolls on tsum tsum Tuesday...I'm going to have to get there even earlier now. I really want Elsa I can get Anna and the designer Anna and Kristof set then great but I really just want Elsa. I could care less about the tsum tsums but now there will be people lined up for them as well. This seems like it's going to be a nightmare

Dude........ That's not even right! does Disney like to watch the discord unfold? Who decided it was a good idea to do all those releases the same day? They have some serious sadists working for them.

Doll releases at my store are usually very organized, but the Jasmine pre-order was a mess because of the same day Tsum Tsum release-- and there weren't even that many people there for the dolls. The problem was that the doll people knew to line up but then a hoard of Tsum Tsum people came right before opening and just huddled around the doors en masse. The store employees, who usually give out numbers for dolls and let people enter in an orderly fashion, decided to let the entire crowd in at the same time without even handing out numbers to the doll people. It was complete chaos. I can't even imagine what it is going to be like with all of this Frozen stuff.
