I REALLY hope its Rey. Mulan or Pocahontas would be great too. This whole thing now has me so excited!

I just think its too early for the Alice dolls to be revealed. If I remember correctly, I think the two Cinderella dolls were revealed a week or two before the film came out and were released the day the film hit theaters. Alice doesn't come out till May 27th, so I think its WAY too early to be revealing them. The Disney Store hasn't even gotten around to releasing standard merch for the film yet. Disney has done things differently in the past, so who knows.

They can't be Frozen related dolls. There are LITERALLY no more outfits for them to choose from! (well, for Elsa at least. I suppose they could do Anna in her black funeral outfit...and being Frozen I wouldn't put that past Disney...)

But there will be for holiday 2017 as there's an already announced Frozen holiday special set to air around Christmas 2017. Those might end up being spring 2018 dolls though so a long way off (thank goodness)

I don't really care for the live action dolls and haven't gotten any of them yet myself but dammit, I would get Rey. Rey is AWESOME and I adore her character and she got such lacking merchandise as it is (I can't even find her DS elite series action figure yet they always have tons of every other character). I bought the unmasked Kylo Ren so I can swoon over his dreamy face but I reallllllllly want the Rey one (helps that she comes with BB-8 too!)

Yep, if they did a LE doll of Rey it'd be the first and probably last (unless they do a Julie Andrews Mary Poppins) LA LE doll I'd buy.

Wow, they're really milking the whole frozen thing still! I just think the one thing that makes me mad is how there were no Snow White dolls released, I guess their reasoning behind it is that they only release these dolls once, meanwhile we have almost every outfit for the frozen dolls. I guess there's no use whining about it.... I wonder what Christmas outfit Elsa and Anna will have.

So they said Project, not a doll. So I'm assuming it will be a new line of stuff. Kinda like the designer fairies or the minnie doll.

That's always a possibility. I'm still hoping its a Rey doll (maybe a Star Wars doll release for every new film would be AMAZING), but what could a new line consist of?

I'm guessing some Alice merchandise, that's about all I can think of since moana doesn't come out till November.

So I'm in a little bit of a pickle that I'd like a fellow doll collector's opinion on.

I just inherited a double of a doll that I already have. This particular doll was the very first I bought and I was happy about her having a lower edition number however, this recent addition has a neater appearance although her edition number is higher. My question for you guys is: which one would you keep if you were in my shoes? The very first LE doll you purchased with a lower edition number (816)? Or the double with a neater appearance but with a higher edition number (1239)? I know it's not that big of a dilemma but I would like to sell my double so I need to decide which to keep before I do so. ^^;

They really don't look any different to me. I'd keep the first one you got (sentimental value) with a smaller edition size (monetary value!).

It might be hard to see in these pictures so I apologize for the crappy quality of these photos. My phone camera sucks. ^^; My doll:

Hi, this is my opinion based on what I would do. I prefer quality over the edition size. Both are beautiful. But I tend to go for near perfect so I would keep the inherited doll because: Her hair is fuller: pony tail, top of her hair, bangs nicely going forward. She's positioned more to my right which allows to see more of the front of her outfit. Her skirt is puffed up, four panels facing forward with tip of bodice right in the middle. She gives me the impression she's about to curtsy. I like balance/symmetry ^^ GL let us know which you decide to keep

So does anyone here know how often the Disney Store in Times Square gets extra LE dolls? I heard they had some Jasmine and Prince Phillip left last week. I'm going there this weekend I highly doubt she will be left but you never know. Won't hold my breath though.

I like the one on the right, but then there's the factor of sentimentality of the one on the left being your first. But then again, whoever gave you the doll must've paid a lot for it, and it shows how much they care for you, so for me personally, I would choose the one on the right.

Man it's been so slow here - I've been staying away because I finally moved out of my mom's and in with my boyfriend so being able to afford these dolls is almost out of the question, but I was expecting that I would have missed more on here since then. Definitely excited for a Moana though, hoping if I start saving up now I can get her when she's announced down the line!

No new dolls, so not much to talk about. I would have loved a Snow White release, but I'm kind of relieved it has been so slow. I'm still recuperating from last year!

Yeah, maybe Disney realized that and decided, after throwing everything at us last year, to give us a bit of a break in 2016. I mean, we're still expecting the next set of designers later this year, a possibility of Alice, and a possibility of Moana, not to mention the all ready released Minnie. That's still at least 8 dolls/sets (and possibly more, if they do other dolls for the Alice line).

I for one am glad it has been slow here on the doll front as these dolls are not the only things I collect. I also collect the Marvel line of 1/6th figures from Hot Toys and man those are awesome but expensive. Also movies lol I know if Alice dolls are released I'll want those and the possibility of Moana is great. I'm probably going to pass on the designer collection this year as it's just to expensive to have everything.

I'm with you that I'm glad that it's been slow since I collect Pullips as well so this is a great time for me to purchase some of the ones I've been eyeing - partially because I'm going through a withdrawal and need some new dolls.lol I'd love to catch up on some past releases with Disney LEs but just can't bring myself to spend the amount of money on the ones that I'm looking for (SQ, Coronation Anna.. I've pretty much given up on them lol).

I'm most likely going to skip the Alice line since as much as I am a fan of Alice dolls, I'm just not a big fan of the actress playing her and since it'll be a LA doll, the mold will resemble the actress. I'm holding off on decision of the designer set until I see how they look like. I absolutely loved the concept of Ariel and Ursula but the actual doll set just never did it for me so here's to hoping to a non-crazy year so I can shift my focus towards the Pullips..

Thanks for your opinions! I think I'm going to keep the inherited doll. As Disneylover said, the fact that the person who gave it to me did so is pretty significant. Thanks for your help coming to a decision!

I'm not really excited this year for the new Le Alice dolls either, I've seen some photos of the costumes in the movie, and for me personally, I don't really like them. Although I wonder how the Alice designer set is going to turn out, are they doing the animated Alice, or the LA Alice?

P.s. I found out there is an Alice animator doll, but it didn't show the date.

I know most people are glad Disney is cutting back on dolls, but I was at least hoping that they would announce a doll of Rey to go with the release of Star Wars Ep. 7 on blu-ray (though I would be fine with just a standard film collection doll of her). Also, even though I really am not that excited for the new Alice film, I can't help but be a little bit excited over the thought of how nice those dolls are going to look. I just love the costume design for those movies. I really want to see the platinum set in particular.

As for the question on if the designer Alice and Queen of Hearts set will be based off the animated or live action films, I think we can say, for a fact, that it will be based off the original animated movie. It would be weird to have one live action set while the rest are animated, and the animated Alice is the more iconic and recognizable of the two versions.
