Did the Disney store Us blog take down the posting about the LE Cinderella dolls? I don't see them listed anymore. Though from the pics I saw I think that I may try for the blue dress cinderella. She seems to be normal price and I think she looks pretty. These cinderella dolls have me excited to see if Disney does the same thing with the Emma Watson Beauty and the beast film. now that doll I will have to get since I love Emma Watson and beauty and the beast is one of my personal fav Disney films. I do agree though that the Wedding Cinderella doll is insanely over priced and not worth it IMO. I agree wit the person who said its time for a new hobby as I also collect hot Toys Marvel figures which are also pretty pricey
 
After party! Wuuuuut! And she probably mollied whoever came up with the price for the wedding doll. It's the only explanation I can think of for $500 on, seriously, a regular looking LE doll.
 
I am beyond pissed. Everyone's pissed. $500 for what? There's no embroidery and really looks like there's nothing too luxurious about it. The ball gown one looks better for shits sake!! They only have her priced so high because of the edition size. I know it.. They're taking advantage of us. I do like it, but for $500 retail? NO! I will no longer be buying it. Maybe if the price is lowered by 50% but not for $500. Looks like lots of people are passing after all. Good luck to those who do want the wedding one. I'll just get the ball gown doll.

I hope the wedding doll takes forever to sell out so they will learn not to pull this **** again. But I will dream.
 
Let's not forget that when the LE Frozen Harrods set came out, it was around 800 USD and that was only limited to 100 so this 500 USD for one doll limited to 500 is definitely the price of major exclusivity. However, even in the Frozen Harrods case though, there was a lot more detail than these new Cindy dolls. Wtf Disney? WTF???
 
Not going to lie. I want Wedding Cinderella. Badly. Hopefully no one else will, so I can have a chance to get her. I have such bad luck with low edition items. I'm not sold on Blue Cinderella though, I somehow think the Mattel $40 doll looks nicer.

EDIT: I calculated the price wrong after looking at the EU price. HAHAHAHAHAHA. No.

I agree. I hope no one buys that Wedding Doll because if they do Disney will just continue to offer sub-standard dolls for more and more ridiculous prices. But you know it will still probably sell out within minutes, unfortunately.
 
Yep yep yep! And you get two from harrods. This crap is $500 for ONE and the edition size is FIVE TIMES HIGHER.
 

And at least you got TWO dolls in the Frozen Harrods set for that price!!!
 

They were also supped up versions of more widely available dolls, so if you couldn't afford the price tag, you could "settle" on the regular version. This is just a kick in the nuts to collectors. If I want a wedding Cinderella, my ONLY option is $500? I get your message, Disney. You've drowned in greed, so now we need to expect sub-par dolls with gouged pricing. The good news is they're just dolls at the end of the day. If I no longer feel the need to collect, I'll move on and save a lotttttt of money in the long run.

But, really, I hope the Aladdin dolls are a lot nicer than what we've seen so far this year, lol. That was the one that started it all for me. I hope Disney can come out of this lala land they've created from the popularity of their dolls. It seems like they're judging by the secondary market. I'm surpised they don't have experts letting them know collectors don't work like that. Most of us DON'T buy on the secondary market. Anyway, I've ranted and raved enough about this... for now!
 
I would definitely buy a Harrods set for $800-900. One hundred is EXTREMELY low and they are just stunning works of art. I think those are worth it. This Cinderella however is not.
 
Plus a two-doll set in this case would have been so easy. She's getting married, so why not include her prince? Maybe they didn't like the way he looked shiny? :lol:

I really feel like the non-limited edition film collection wedding PAIR is much more bang for my buck.
 
Put Charming in with her and the fairy godmother too and then I'll pay $500!
 
The page seems to be gone from the Disney blog now, but on the full-size picture of blue dress Cindy, the bodice was different to the classic doll. So I do think these are it. Kinda relieved. She is too much like the classic doll (which I have) for me to want to bother with.... Now I can feel better about going for Anna and Elsa...

And there also goes the hope this LA-Cindy might look better and have a nicer(!) dress than the original. Haha. There does that dream, the original 17" has MORE rhinestones than this one...
 
I am actually in love with the ball gown Cinderella doll, Cinderella is one of my favourites and her animated LE is so awful this will make a nice replacment. The only thing I dislike is the shiny skin but I have found I always like it in person on other dolls just not on pics. Wedding Cindy is too expensive though! Why couldn't they have done this Aurora/Maleficent last year!
 
I think both dolls are beautiful too, just wishing they were a little more different from the 12" ones. But if wedding Cindy wasn't so pricey I'd be trying for both! I think they will be gorgeous in person.
